The Hyundai Venue small SUV is a cleverly sized and smartly packaged crossover that will appeal to customers who value good ownership promise and a strong price point.
It is more affordable than most of its rivals, and it comes with some enviable inclusions. But there are a few questionable elements that you learn about it over time.
Matt Campbell has spent the last six months with the Hyundai Venue Elite to figure out what those pros and cons are, and whether this small SUV is a good alternative to the likes of the Kia Stonic, Kia Seltos, Mazda CX-3, Mazda CX-30, Suzuki Vitara, Nissan Juke, Toyota C-HR, Toyota Yaris Cross, or even the Hyundai Kona.

I love my Elite. Not so happy that I can't open the boot/back door from inside though. It takes a bit of getting used to locking the boot properly too. Also there is a rumble/whooshing kind of noise when the sun roof is open, so I am not likely to use it often. Apart from that it does what I want, when I want.

U say what u want I enjoy My denim Venue; don't like the driver assist feature, but it was affordable enough that I only have 2yrs & 2mths left to payoff. Excellent warranty.

The CarPlay thing is a common issue with other cars as well it helps to plug in you phone after the car is turned on fully

You can buy performance chips from the states at very low costs, gives anywhere from 7% for stage one to 20% stage 3. Will try when car is older.

Took one for a test drive in Elite form, was a great driving car, I preferred it over the Kia Stonic I drove back to back.

The Hyundai Venue had a taller more roomier interior, the Venue had a better ride on the hwy, and drove better in my opinion as well as more power. I liked the Kia Stonic, but the interior was a let down. The Kia is a little cheaper, so there’s that. I ended up buying the Venue- I’m very happy I did 😀 Go test drive them both, I felt the Hyundai handled and drove better. Felt bigger inside too.

With the power to weight ratio of the venue obviously its not sporty but its fantastic for fuel economy and if there is a big hill just press down the pedal harder. Bigger engine is not always better especially in a small economy car designed to save you money.

Why would you want more "fun" on a cheap car? It does the job, even better compared to the Stonic. A "lethargic" engine does the job, you don't need a v6 3.0 engine on that.

Drove an auto and a manual, the auto was not convincing but the manual was fun! Just got to keep the revs up to feel some power, still thinking switching my kia rio for a venue....

The Venue has never achieved the popularity of the Getz or the Accent. Although I think Hyundai builds them in Europe which probably adds to the price, I wish they'd import the i10. [The base model i10 is on every island of the South Pacific.]

Come on Matt that is not a big hill lol, I mean if heading west it's 110km/h to 90km/h to 70km/h and then at the top it's 80km/h, put the transmission into semi auto mode and downshift it to 4th gear and leave, the engine should have enough torque to get up the hill at those speeds and maintain it, if you need more downshift into 3rd ... who uses "kickdown" any more with these 6-speed transmissions ... As for the rest of the Venue, there are a lot more better vehicles in that market segment, Hyundai went for cheap and it shows.

Actually you're wrong. We bought the top trim model of the Venue 2022 for our 16 year old daughter last week. 20k out the door. Had everything a 50k plus car would have. All the safety features and up grades on this car. U 100% can't get on a low level trim car. We shopped for 6 months looked at every model of car out there. And nothing came close to this Venue. Also Covid 19 has let car dealers up the sticker prices on all Cars as high as 12k. I saw Toyota Corollas lowest trim model cars 38 k for that car. Lmao. Any fool that pays that much deserves to be in the red on that car. Hyundai is the only Dealer not raising their sticker prices on their cars. Go to any New Dealer around u. This Car is the best out there right now.
