There is nothing more beautiful than a woman with child! Let alone such an accomplished song bird! Thank you Senór Chamorro for doing these classic tunes from the “Great American Songbook”.

It doesn't get any better: The Sant Andreu Saxophone Orchestra, Rita singing, Anastasia and Rita playing, the fixers - Marc and Arnau - acting between anything else, and an intermezzo by said SASO. Sweeet!

Superb performance by a world class band. The look on Joan's face when Rita hit a sweet note on the trombone, was classic. He was in seventh heaven. Many thanks to all the great musicians.

Andrea certainly did. What really amazes me is the amount of work done. Rita seemed busier than ever in that nine months. And the varieties and originality of the work! Not just the SAJB work, but exceptional concerts like the ravishing JazzBaltica and that perfect afternoon's concert with Lucia Fumero, the jewel-like tango with MARO, sneaking out of an evening for proper Spanish-Jazz with Kaleidoscope, in the recording studio with David Vinolas and Joan Monne, and later with Pol and the lovely song he discovered. Only once did it look too much, during the Kaleidoscope evening, when she looked exhausted after her (perfect) solo. She never looked happier, though. And now that world-class violinist, Elia, following in this SAJB tradition of working mothers-to-be. Maybe Catalonia's secret to potentially being the musical focus of the continent is that music seems so bound up with the idea of family.

Wow, nice old tune and Anastasia beautifully smooth on the Trombon, - remembering Toni - she's great. Congrats to Rita and hope all goes well. Everyone just great and Senor Monne Arreglo Always Top Notch. And Senor Print Shirt the great Director - Though I sent the video of Nicki Parrott with her trio - I'll mention that the SAJB's arreglo are the best I've seen in modern bands so far. Muy Bueno In the older bands hard to say, maybe Duke Ellington. Stay safe and well everyone.

The days when the heat and heat continue in Japan、 While gazing at the midsummer sky outside the deep blue window I'm listening to "I can't get started"。 The sound of a rich big band Rita Payés's さんvery comfortable voz, and the ad-lib of trombón like a delicious summer frozen dessert。 Hot hot summer moment, It invites my heart to a very rich feeling. Afterglow of summer ・・、 Big band gifts ・・、 "Sasuke (domestic cat)"in my house , is a little bit heat fatigue(笑)。

@ArturoBeramendi17042 жыл бұрын

I find the contrast between Anastasia and Rita's solos interesting. First Anastasia is a very smooth and agreeable player (and a pretty good singer also), but Rita has the edge here, having had the wide experience with quite esoteric jazz groups (Kaleidoscope, Marti Serra) and also being a composer of considerable accomplishment. Anastasia's solo is more immediately attractive, but you do have to observe that she has used some of Joan Monne's excellent arrangement laid out for both their use later on, whilst Rita goes adventuring and brings wholly original material to the piece. Jazz at its best is all about risk. Rita risks. The Good Professor always seemed delighted at her adventures off the beaten track. I think this is why it caught Rob Egerton's attention.
