Coming from a 6’4” guy, this bike is AWESOME and built to ride with no mods necessary unless you want to down the road! Built in navigation, forward controls (no mod required like Harley which saves you up to 1K off the bat), a solid historic rugged look that reminds me of WW2, three colors to choose from that aren’t eccentric, speed & power, comfortability (remember I’m pretty tall). I recommend this bike to anyone that just wants to cruise OR if you’re trying to get back into riding!!!

Danke immer wieder gerne gesehen deine Videos!

I came across that exact bike parked in the street last week here in Calgary Alberta, Canada. I an not emphasize the elegant simplicity of its design. It is one attractive motorcycle. There is barely a wire or a hose exposed anywhere. What a masterpiece of motorcycle esthetics. I'd put it above the BMW R18. I will also state that it is huge. It really does harken back to the 1920's. I'm happy to hear that it performs as well as it it looks Scott.

Actually Scott your the perfect guy to preview this machine, you're not a cruiser dude. So your take is more inline with the average guy. The bike is nimble, brakes well, is smooth and responsive. What's not to like? well maybe wider lower slung bars and floor boards. Done! Good stuff Scott. Cheers.

I'm so glad you pointed out the extremely beautiful engine cooling fins. My God. That thing is so beautiful. And the fact that it's almost 1900cc. That's how you get ridiculous, car engine level torque.

I'm really looking to pick up an Indian sometime and videos like this make my current lack of one almost painful! Your presentation was perfect. Plus, I had to do a little homework to find out the general area you're riding because the scenery is amazing. If I ever get the chance to visit Germany (if I got it right) I can find my distant relatives, too!

Great looking scoot! I'm a HD lover but Indian is killing it. Hoping Indian will throw the PowerPlus powertrain in a cruiser this size as well. And then HD will do similarly with a cruiser and bagger. We need modern powertrains in American motorcycles. The EPA will eventually kill engines like this and the M8.

Hello Scott👋 and thank you for another relaxed and informative video! For me there is one question left - especially because you’re not a “cruiser guy” -, how would you rate the handling of the Indian in curves? I assume the pegs are scratching the asphalt quite early, as most cruisers do, but how would you rate it? Thanks a lot😉✌️👋!!!

Yes, this one seems indeed miles away from the only cruiser I ever owned (for a couple of months only) - a BMW R 650 C: A lot work to polish, but (for me) too little dynamics, Fahrspass, agility. Weird positioning on it and a nearly hopeless situation when I felt "locked in" with/ finding myself under my cruiser between car and carport. After calling my wife (afterwards I was happy she forgot to take some pictures), I could be rescued. Since this experience, I don't buy bikes with more than 230 kilos any longer.

Nice review Scott, thanks....The Chief's torque is starting to Sound like that of the Yamaha Bolt ... @03:49 .... at 5 Grand, this thing was still pulling..... Ya, the Bolt is similar in acceleration. Even at 130 kph, (80 mph), a slight twist of the throttle , and I mean 'slight'.... launches the bike forward. (The Bolt tops out @107 mph ).... If you happen to wrench the throttle of the Bolt at that speed , It will Growl while launching you quickly forward... Difference is, the bolt is 248 kilos and 65 hp @ 5780 rpm,(59.3 ft-lbs at 3,000 rpm), and it's 100% air cooled. Anywho Scott, I'm still not sure whether Yamaha made the 58 Cubic inch Bolt, (942 cc), as a metric alternative to the Scout series, or to the HD sportsters or maybe both?? ... Your thoughts maybe ? Stay Safe.

great review and indian does offer a compelling product but on the service side: the dealer network is where the company falls to pieces. i've had 3 different indians living in two different states in the u.s. and have utilized half a dozen dealerships for services. one shop wasn't that bad, one was great, and the rest were abysmal. indian's achilles is it's god awful dealer support; they're quick to take you money but better hope nothing goes wrong. not some bitter jaded person over here, if you're shopping these bikes better check out the dealer problems listed on the indian forum site- and that's going to be fanboyville. if anyone wants to know what it's like to have a $22K bike sit at a dealership for 14 months while they repair it and you finish payments on it hit me up, i'll tell you all about it. just a psa for prospective buyers. great work on the channel, some of the best reviews around!

18k for that lol Harley and Indian are a joke with their pricing. You can get a far superior bike in every department for a much cheaper price from most manufacturers. Seriously who designed that hideous monstrosity of an exhaust. That TFT is pathetic looks like the ones off the R.E bikes. It should have dual analogue clocks. The fasteners are stainless steel instead of black I could go on but it's tiresome.
