Why not?
@mattthegreeter90742 жыл бұрын
@@stealth1077 I grew up around a lot of H-D bikes in my neighborhood, so the sound and style have always been my preferred aesthetic. Indian was defunct at the time. Indian made a comeback awhile later but put out some lousy machines and folded again. Someone I knew had one and it was in the shop more often than out. Now that Polaris has acquired the brand it seems to be in great shape and I love that they have a solid offering of great machines. I prefer H-D motorcycles because that's what I ride (see my other channel) but I don't hate on Indian, except occasionally in jest to one of my Indian riding friends! I'd love to test ride a few of their bikes someday.

...and H-D got saddled up with AMF for awhile there and those were HORRIBLE days for the moco. They were making golf carts and snowmobiles & stuff. Crazy. The one good thing to come out of that bad relationship was the procurement of a fiberglass factory (I think it was)... It was originally used for boat-building, but H-D started making their fairings and saddlebags. Those fairings were instrumental in shaping the modern motorcycle. Other than that, the AMF years were abominable, plain and simple.

NZ Kiwi here... Got mine! Now I have Dean Speed exhausts... they are similar shape to the factory pipes yet smaller diameter and shorter... Baffles out they are 'Loud' but not Freaky loud, and now being able to hear the motor working improves how you can use your power... I may in the future get some 2 into one pipes, but for now I am very happy with these Dean Speed pipes... thumbs up to them.

I love Harley Davidson and Indian which is usually unheard of. Harley is nice when it comes to reliability based on the fact that there are dealerships all over the U.S. which is nice if you're going to be doing cross country riding. But Indian blows Harley out the water when it comes to style in my opinion. I would say they're both equally as great, you're just going to have a harder time finding a good Indian mechanic. I'm personally leaning towards this bike in the future. Best of luck on what ever bike you get Jake.

Hey Blockhead, great video 👍. I have a question that I hesitate to ask but given the times we see ourselves living in it came to mind after hearing the Cleveland Indians announce last week that they're switching they're name to the Cleveland Renegades starting next season. In your motorcycling circles have you heard any rumors that Polaris Inc. may follow suit and cease using the brand names Indian, chief, scout, etc...? All politics aside, I sincerely hope not. They are iconic names for a truly classic and iconic American motorcycle. Take care and safe riding.

Indian Motorcycles doesn't go around parading a mascot in the form of an indigenious american at crowded baseball games and in front of the media. They are generally much lower profile. Also, this can be a situation that depends on what the following is like, if followers of the Indian brand can be chill then no one will care enough to bring it to anyone's attention.
