I’m a Challenger owner but had the 19 Chieftain for 8,000 miles. The Chieftain is a super bike and much better looking ride. However, I love my Challenger! The HD boys know what I have when they see the riding lights! It’s faster and more comfortable due to the better wind management of the fixed fairing. Thanks for the classy videos!

Definitely agree! These headlights on the challenger are something to fear lol

I went Challenger as well because my brain won... All the features and tech and value but not a day goes by that I don't second guess my decision and kinda wish I went Springfield Dark horse or Chieftain because they look better imo.

Oh I love the Springfield too lol ya were in the same boat lol

What sold me on the Challenger, was that fixed fairing. The Chieftain was the first Indian motorcycle I’ve ever seen in person. Until the salesman told me the difference in the fairing with the Challengers. That’s what sold me. I do want to test ride a Chieftain though 🤔. But the Challenger is definitely my go to. I REALLY enjoyed riding the Challenger. Took it up to 100mph, and MAN she handled her self very well 👌🏽.

The challenger is my go to. For sure love it. Long rides and that fixed fairing is amazing.

After riding both a few times at the demo days I loved both bikes, but had a bit more "fun" with the challenger. Chieftain certainly should be a good choice for a long haul bagger

Most definitely!

Im thinking about getting my first bagger. I have a Victory highball and have lots of love for Victory. I would really like to try a Cross Country. I feel Victory will last me for the rest of my life they are so reliable and well built. However i have to keep an open mind to Indian and other American companies😉 Im trying to love the Challenger. At first site and initial reviews from youtube, i was interested. I went to a demo day at Indian OC recently and i have to say, im meh about it. I want to try the Cheiftain and maybe get another experience. Biggest negatives from the Challenger ride was the heat at stops. The air buffet to my helmet, im 6'1. The throttle electronically controlled, not a fan of. When i got back on my Highball, i fell back in love. The wind to my chest, the hard clutch pull, the cable throttle, the feeling of being on a machine with raw power, the satisfying clunk of the gear shift. So im looking around and came across your channel. I will check out a few of your vids, i see the comparison one in the queue.

Victory might be the one for you. Ya the throttles are electric. I haven’t had any issues with mine I did change the windshield to a curved klockworks which did the trick for my on the wind. I’ve got over 16k on my challenger and it’s been a blast. The victory’s are fantastic. One thing thankfully is I hear the same victory reliability is found in these. I know someone has over 200k on their chieftain out there. I haven’t had any real heat issues challenger wise has been cooler than the thunderstroke motor. Lots of good options out there imo. I almost went victory myself before the challenger

The stock windshield is not enough. So I went Klockwerks. Then I added the fairing lowers. Now i have the wind protection I wanted.

Did same with my 2016 CDH 5th year going strong.

Front fork deflectors will solve the buffeting, keep the stock windshield
@TheBeardedBobber3 жыл бұрын
Everyone has been saying lowers. The curved one on my challenger helped out a grip plus I like the tinted ones.
@jjgibson34093 жыл бұрын
@@TheBeardedBobber I went with the jes front fork deflectors, the buffeting was so bad without them. The deflectors effectively eliminated all buffeting issues luckily.

Cool video. Used to be a HD owner but after 4 new ultra I got bored with them. Starting to think an Indian bagger would be pretty fun. Thanks for another great video.

Definitely find a demo or a motorcycle show doing the demos. I’ve been a big fan for a little while now. Just took my challenger on a 3000 mile trip a couple weeks ago and took it to sturgis last year for a 3800 mile trip. Ya big fan here lol

I'm just getting into the cruiser world having purchased my first Indian Scout. Is there a way to modify these bikes, so you get a bit more lean angle and wouldn't scrape the shiny parts that fast? Tia
@TheBeardedBobber2 жыл бұрын
I did the fox shocks and that lifted up the bike some which gave the bike a decent amount more lean angle
Just curious why people well younger people liked the flat black boring look ? Is it because the world has become soulless and people want to conform and not stand out? You also speak of old school like it is a bad thing old school is awesome just like cars from the 50s make new car look like clones of each other with no style and no flavor sorry i am old school all the way.
@TheBeardedBobber3 жыл бұрын
I don’t know but it does seem the be a trend. This was just a rental and my bike is white but to each their own I guess. I definitely didn’t mean old school was bad. I like the old school style of the bike and I love old school cars. Don’t know why you thought otherwise. Have a good day

I’ve always thought of blacked out as an old school thing . My grandad had an old scout he used to rave grasstrack after ww2 .. that was pretty blacked out . Spikes and rims , exhaust.. bars etc . Hence when I got my first Harley in the 90s first thing I did was powder coat wheels black and then the springer etc on it went . But for me it was a nostalgic thing .
