Love the quick rear view check before acceleration test 😂

I own one of these. Don’t buy it if you live anywhere that sees snow (FORM, stuck in gas only until weather warms up), don’t buy it if you regularly use a level 2 charger (service charging system, service hybrid system error), don’t buy it if you drive highway miles (known to randomly shut down in highway driving). Until Jeep fixes those three problems, it’s typical first gen experience with typical FCA/Stellantis “quality”.

I own a 2021 and 17k miles later, it’s been perfect. Perhaps, you got a lemon…

@@bjj5746 I will simply point out that the FORM issue is the first sticky topic of only two in the 4xe forums general discussion page. The service charging issue is very common, and can be found discussed in in most Jeep JL and 4xe forums. Be happy with your perfectly working model. I’ll knock on wood for you.

@@sentiencepsn2714 I see. It’s my wife’s car and I’m a car enthusiast with mechanic background. If the car was having issues, I would’ve been all over the forum for answers etc but I guess we’ve been pretty lucky then. It’s honestly been great for us.

Jesus Christ so the few things it would be its major selling points are what you can't do in it? I daily drive a 109k 1994 f-150 4x4 5.0 5 speed and yeah it only gets 19mpg, but its paid off and it starts everyday and does great in the snow! I refuse to spend the extra 10k on one of these to "save" on gas. if you are wasting extra money to get the hybrid and the repairs then you aren't saving anything.

I do all of those things. No issue.

I'd love to have one of these for a work ride; I have a 10 minute drive to work, so a tank of gas would last me a couple of months!

Wait - I want to remove one of the back seats? Sleep in the vehicle - What happens with electric usage?
@narniebone13322 жыл бұрын
I liked it apart from the price tag and thought the MPG could be better. Should have been self charging like the CRV etc much better set up but a nice car all the same and a great review

It does both. It has regen charging - you ever have too plug it in if you don’t want to. You get extended range and fuel economy if you plug it in

Stellantis is finally getting away from "haha V8 go brrrr." I've heard that these have some reliability issues and the electric motor alone is a little weak for 5000+lbs but it's a good start. It's impressive that it needed so few changes to convert to hybrid. The raised floor is a slight drawback for overlanders who take out the seats and build a platform but it's a small compromise. Hybrids make more sense for going far away from civilization than EVs. For daily driving this is plenty of electric range but you never have to worry about not being able to find a charger and then having to wait half an hour for a recharge. One downside I see is that because the electric motor is so quiet, the wind noise and the soft top (if equipped) flapping will be even more noticeable. Tech is expensive but the Wrangler has gotten expensive in general. Jeep realized that they could make a Wrangler that was slightly less terrible on the road and charge for looking like you can go anywhere. Jeep is a luxury brand now selling the luxury of appearance and sometimes capability.

the ev mode is nice but 20-30 miles is pathetic it should be at least 60-100 that way most people can drive to and from work and a errand or 2 with out having range anxiety if you get stuck in traffic. it allready weighs 6000lbs whats another 300lbs?

it is a cool idea but this is gonna be a dumpster fire mechanically cuz fiat and chrysler went hey you're stupid and I am stupid lets be stupid together and build cars with Down syndrome! they need to fix all the bullshit that is gonna break on these and the ev mode is almost useless 20 miles if the weather is perfect and if its cold like most places in North America it'll be lucky to get 10 miles or even work! ohh yeah plus the $60k msrp!!!! id rather buy a couple of 4x4 Tacomas!
