Great day for great weather, as we install our FIRST true power adder to the Mustang. I went with the JLT Series 3 Cold Air Intake and SCT Tuner combo, that provides us with free tunes for life from Bama Performance. Absolutely stoked to finally have the car tuned, and it's been an absolute blast to drive it.

Bullitt filters can be a bear to install smoothly sometimes too, so it just must be something with the open filter setups. I was running an old Brenspeed can tune and I'm looking to update. Don't forget to post on your impressions on your tune long term, but otherwise 👍👍👍👍👍

Man, I miss my 06 3v. Mod list was FRPP 62mm tb, JLT series 3 CAI, 91 bama race tune, steeda cmcv deletes, high flow catted h pipe and slp loudmouth muff deletes. Such a fun car to drive.

@@keithbellair9508 I have both a 13 coyote and got another 3v 2 months ago. The 3v is still more fun, sounds better, and looks better than any coyote for that matter. Speed isn’t everything. If you can’t understand that speed isn’t everything, that’s a you problem. Other than that, yes I do have a coyote, but I don’t consider that an upgrade.

@@keithbellair9508 it’s personal preference at the end of the day. I enjoy the 3v more than the coyote. I’m not into racing at all. I could careless about horsepower. It’s about enjoying your car, your way. That’s why it’s YOUR car. If I were you, I would look into the ford performance hot rod cams, the ford performance intake manifold, ford performance 62MM TB and a JLT 3 with a tune. It makes your stock car more fun. To me, the 3v sounds the best, and looks the best. But that’s just me.

Does your car shift past redline now? Mine at wide open throttle shifts at 6200-6300 where as before it shifted right at 6000

I haven't checked since usually when I go WOT i'm focused on the road but if I had to guess i'd say it does shift a bit past redline post tune. If you want them to change that you can ask for another tune if you have the same rev x tuner with bama tunes. I'll keep an eye next time for you though and hopefully I remember to report back.

Do you have to have availability to Wi-Fi for this to work? I live in a apartment complex , I have Wi-Fi , but my building is really far from the parking lot. So I wonder if I could use this?

What I did is I used my phone as a hotspot, and connected to wifi via that. Works like a charm, because yes you do need wifi to download your tune from the cloud.

@@terrywalker9092 No worries, you can do a quick google search to see how to use your mobile device as a hot spot if you're up for the task. Otherwise, you can park outside a local mcdonalds or something with free wifi and get the tunes downloaded onto the device that way haha. I think you can also download them onto the tuner by plugging it into a pc or laptop so that's always another option as well!

These intakes/ tunes only add 20 horsepower, thats less than 10% … its really much in your head and hearing that intake sound. All automatic trans shift a cording to your pedal input.. if you floor it , it shifts at redline.. if your easy it shifts at lower rpm

I do just want to be clear that much of what I felt and feel after installing this CAI and tune is definitely real and very noticeable. Even 5% of something is enough to notice! Especially when it's 5% of an already (rather) large number, being nearly 300rwhp base in this case.
