I got denied door dash in my area and put on a waitlist. Only orders I see are only for a few dollars so I have only taken one in two days. Not a way to pay the bills or even worth doing period. Two dollars and change for driving for about thirty minutes a order is ridiculous. Maybe if I would get cash tips it would work out but that’s not the case from what I have heard.

I just signed up recently too, I have a normal 40 hr job during the week so I'm not too bothered about what my hourly rate is. I learned pretty quick its almost always better to just pick a spot near a bunch of restaurants and make that your hub for the day. Take deliveries from there that don't go too far out and then drive back to your spot. Ignore whatever those zones are doing because it still doesn't guarantee an order and any time you're driving without an active order you're wasting money. Better to just sit and chill for 15-20 mins and wait for a good order to come up instead of driving to an order that may or may not exist or be worth taking. I wouldn't want to try doing uber as my main source of income regardless... good luck out there

You have to learn your market after a few months (the short cuts-road closings, etc) and then you need to be picky and float your money...also, AIM for $10 an order and pray for an extra order to bump up your hourly wage...your goal is to make $20 an hour (or $10 per 30 minutes-15 minutes there and back-even without another order, you need at least a $1 a mile there and back!)...also, you can make about 2.5 deliveries an hour, so even if you take $7 orders, you need 3 of them in an hour to make $21 for the hour...do your daily goal (mine is $100 plus the gas put in-usually $17)...then when I am done, my day is over...it's all about your strategy...do not just take any old order, make sure it makes sense...time is money!!

UberEats has been really slow lately. Some things to try I'd say is take orders that are paying at least $1 per mile or higher. Take only orders paying $7 and up unless the deliver is less than a mile or 2. Try working the peak times for breakfast its typically between 8am-10am lunch time is typically between 11am-2pm & dinner time is typically between 5pm-9pm. Try working only Thrusday-Sunday, Monday-Wednesday is typically the slowest days of the week. It is most definitely oversaturated especially now during the summer months.

Damn crazy how I can relate to this as well. Currently been job hunting for almost 3 weeks now, I’ve been applying non stop since I got screwed over with a data entry job that offered me a job but they never followed thru with it bc of how long background took (a month) and bc of it (I’m assuming similar situation with other applicants) they currently paused their training classes. They told me they would get in contact with me once they resume. This was yesterday. So far from these three weeks of non stop applying I’ve only gotten 4 interviews. 3 of them I liked and the interview seemed like it was going well exactly how you described it and once I got the news that I didn’t get the job I was so saddened and confused bc I thought I nailed the interview and got the job for sure! Now at this point for the 4th interview I might just take the job if offered even if it means I will be under paid compared to my last job. I’m just super depressed rn bc I’m not providing for my family and feel like a failure currently. Trying my best to stay positive but it’s hard… like I said on the comment on your Ubereats videos, I’m going to see how that goes rn while I wait to get a job.
@OctaneStreet19 күн бұрын
Ouch. Sorry to hear you didn't get the job despite crushing the interview. I was job hunting for over two entire months before landing anything worthwhile. My personal advice would be to hold out for something better if at all possible. However, if bills need your help to be paid then yessir do what you gotta do brother. Either way, stay up and i'm hoping something good comes your way.

Sir, I have a question regarding driving an automatic transmission car on a 30-kilometer range uphill route. What is the best driving method to use? Should I use the OD (Overdrive) OFF function or gear 2, 1 or L gear? And to assist with engine braking, on downhill, should I use gear 2, 1, or L for the entire 30 kilometers to prevent damage to the transmission? Your answer and explanation would be greatly appreciated
@OctaneStreet24 күн бұрын
To be completely frank I am not qualified to answer that question, I understand the question but don't have the knowledge for situations like that. You can watch a video on best way to travel uphill/downhill etc and possibly find a good answer! Best of luck, and feel free to come back and reply to your own comment if you end up figuring it out. I couldn't say with absolute certainty, but based on logic I'd have to say it's more or less the exact same. I can't imagine Ford producing 2 different center console panels for these cars especially when one of the biggest gripes people had with Ford vehicles for a long time was poor quality interiors/materials. Doesn't hurt to try at the very least, just air (heir?) on the side of caution and you should be able to find out!

Part of me wants to see if someone wants to partner with me they drive drop me off at restaurant I get food and they pick me up. When I do work downtown i get back to back orders to like mansions but I waste so much time parking miles away to walk to restaurant or worse apartments with only street parking.

Whatever you do font use wax. It has a melting point. Polymer is great, it lasts. I had old guys argue with me. I tried different panels on my car with different polymers to test. Even 3 or 4 step stuff. Dont laugh but 15 dollar Duragloss has lasted over a year. I had 10 years ago used 3 step Zaino. Nope . Turns out Duragloss and Zaino know each other. I was surprised on one panel Jay Leno's ceramic polymor and it was cool. Carnauba is is only good for shine. Make sure you take off the old stuff with Dawn. You want it super ready for yhe new stuff. So maybe those plaxes wete repainted BECAUSE But the Cervini hood WAS painted by the other owner. I did fix my other one by putting thick paint in the lines and then leveling it with laquer thinner. THEN use a da polisher the next day. It looks like it was never there. Are you sure thats not clear that peeled off? In the last 35 years, I've had that happen .
