Considered one of the most talented chefs in the US, Corey Lee’s career has spanned nearly 25 years. He has served as the Head Chef at some of the most acclaimed restaurants in the world, including a tenure at The French Laundry where his work was recognized with a James Beard Award. He made history in 2014 when his flagship restaurant, Benu, was awarded three Michelin stars - he was not only the first Korean chef, but also the first San Francisco restaurant to receive the highly coveted honor. In recognition of his work and influence, he also became a Goodwill Ambassador to the city of Seoul, Korea, an honor given to leaders in various fields.
In 2021, KACF-SF partnered with his forthcoming Korean restaurant, San Ho Won, to provide 700 hot meals to seniors, domestic violence survivors, and unhoused communities.
