I believe that the next major innovation which will become mainstream and later standard on most cars will be the total removal of the mirrors which will be replaced with rear cameras mounted up on each side with 2 dedicated displays on the dashboard like we see on Honda e. First the electric cars will look to do this so they can improve aerodynamics to increase range.

Replacing classical mirrors with smaller cameras will get you a range plus of maybe 1-2 miles, which stands in no relation to the costs. The Ioniq 6 already has those rear cameras. What's the point in setting up two more cameras and two more screens instead of just keeping the usual mirrors??? It looks stupid and all it takes is additional space for additional displays in the cockpit. Break one and you'll have to pay 2.000 Euro instead of just 500 for a plastic cover, mirror glass and paint. I love tech features, but rear mirror cams are just pointless in my eyes.

adding this engine sound to an EV makes no sense, because as there is only 1 gear, you end about with a high-pitched noise at normal speeds. So at the end, noise is a lot more annoying than in a combustion car which runs on high gears and low rpms. It sounds as if you were running 4000 rpms on an engine at 120 km/h.

Why? Anyway, you test that speed once and never need to go that fast again. Driving fast is tiring, dangerous, useless.

@@siasek It might be enough in general but not always. Sometimes you wanna faster. Don't use car. Use airplane or train. Cars are dangerous. It's the same wise advice as yours, and it's true. Car accidents happen much more frequently than airplane crashes.
