Whenever I see a sign saying slow for corner I floor it too. I only get that chance a few times a week lately but it sure is fun. I have a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. I went with the Tucson because I wanted AWD. It has been one of the biggest mistakes. The first was getting a Hyundai. They don’t care about their consumers. My car has been blowing headlights- having electrical issues (my auto windows go back down when you roll them up, my rear windshield wipers go off whenever they want, my break light seems to go on and off at random. I have reached out because as a company they should only want the best products out there. I was told that “because my car is over 3 years old. There is nothing they can do for me. To bring it to a dealer and “see what I can get” for it. I owe more than it’s worth because one thing they don’t tell you when you buy a Hyundai is they depreciate way faster than you can make payments to survive. DO NOT BUY A HYUNDAI.

I have been super curious about the 2021 2.5L Stinger since I have heard about this new engine option! The 3.3TT is a bit much for my tastes and the old 2.0L was too weak, but I think this new engine is just right.👍 I very much like the new shifter, and the new blind spot camera is very nice. I hope to have one if these in my garage by this time next year. Great job with this Sir!!

I own a 2018 GT2 Kia Stinger, and I love this car. I would have liked to see the 3.5 TT engine. It is truly a fun car to drive. Thank you for the review of the new model. I have almost no complaints about the car. Hopefully by the time I am ready to upgrade to the latest model they will be rid of the sound and just let the car be loud. I'd also like it if the scoops weren't fake.

Steve from Canada here again. I was eagerly awaiting this video from you. I'm sorry to hear about Korea and the Covid situation getting worse and please stay safe. As for the car, I am REALLY disappointed in the lack of a digital dash especially seeing what Kia and Hyundai is putting in their other and often cheaper cars. I LOVE the fact that this car has no hood vents but I have a feeling the 3.3T still has them which is the only engine I'd buy so that sucks. Kia, just get rid of the ugly hood vents. The seats are too busy, the diamond pattern is too much and needed to stop at the shoulder section of the seats. The suede seats do not interest me at all as alacantara doesn't last and feels weird. I like the fact they added the lane watch or blind spot system. I love the fact they did NOT go with a rotary dial shifter as I hate those things even in the G80. Please Kia, before you bring this to North America, tone down the seats, get rid of the hood vents on all trims. Did you say Lexicon stereo? or is it Harmon Kardon? The wheels are "ok". The back single tail light should have been that way from the start. They did not get rid of the weird side reflector on the sides?!?! and the sequential lights look sorta cheap and should have been a solid light strip like Audi. Can't wait for 3.3T review.

Love my Stinger. Alot of people miss how good of a winter car it is. My other turbofeed cars, don't even recommend them starting at -15 C or below, the Stinger? No issues. It eats snow and slush, and just hugs it on ice. Kia really need to show this better, really a missed sales opportunity not selling it as a really good winter GT. Ran at -28 C, just fine..

I have a 2018 stinger Premium with the turbo 4 ... and all the bells and whistles: adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, proximity sensors, cross traffic alert. It has plenty of power and provides incredible mileage on regular fuel. I like the aircraft throttle style shift lever in my 2018. The Stinger is a lot of car for the money. In my case $33,600 out the door. Wow!

It looks good. I’m excited to see the suede in the V6. I agree the car should have the digital dash. This is their flagship vehicle and it costs more than the Telluride. This vehicle should have every amenity that the Telluride has. It looks like the leather in the Stinger is the leather that was in the G70. The leather in current models doesn’t feel as good as the leather in some other vehicles. Some people have reported issues with the leather wrinkling and wearing unusually early in the ownership experience. The 2020 Accord feels silky in comparison. After having just purchased a 2020 Stinger I’m not too upset about the ‘updates’. I’d really like to see a performance version to compete with the performance variants of Audi & BMW. I’d like to see maybe 450-475 hp/torque, ‘real’ variable suspension & a variable performance exhaust. I’d be willing to pay an extra few thousand to eliminate the body roll and have linear torque that never runs out. Love the reviews. Keep taking us along for the ride. 👍

I know many people hate fake engine sound generators, but keep in mind many performance cars have them now a days. Everything from a $40K golf R to a $110K bmw M5. But I do agree some engine sound generators are too aggressive and make the car sound almost like a video game. I’ve heard the fake engine noise in 2019 vw GLIs are so ridiculous that many owners disable it. My guess is that it’s cheaper for many auto manufacturers to utilize the car’s speakers to “tune” engine sounds than it is to design and build a proper performance exhaust with a valve for around town vs spirited backroad/track driving. I’ve read that Kia designed such a valved performance exhaust for their 2021 Stinger 3.3 twin turbo. I’ve read it unleashes some 3-4 more hp and comes with four bigger real exhaust tips. I hope it sounds great in the performance mode. With pops, crackles, and burbles like the Veloster N. I like the Kia Stinger. It’s near impossible to find good 300+ hp rwd sports sedans that look and drive this good and not cost over $85K.

Needs the 3.5 with no sound enhancement. I got hands on warning because I was keeping the lane without mis-centering. They need a face camera to keep it engaged. Needs a full digital dash screen. Nice tail light update. Fix the drive mode constant reset at startup. Only two drive modes stick.

Wow that 2.5 turbo sure looks like a super cruiser sedan. The HP and Torque numbers are perfect. I wish they did all digital gauge cluster and a bigger sunroof, but it is okay. I wonder what the E logo stands for?

Kia has done a nice job with tasteful upgrades. I have a 2020 Stinger GT2 AWD 3.3TT and love it. Not really liking the new wheel design and prefer the prior wheels. Overall, great value for dollar in a true GT sedan. Well done.

Nobody commented that they are missing the fake hood vents! I think this is by far the best feature of the facelift. One thing I wish the Stinger was about 25-35cm shorter. I know, different class, but it keeps it from being a small city car. Other options anyone?

Oooh 3.3 with the suede please! The new info screen is still stuck on the dash, but better than the current one. By far my biggest annoyance with the current Stinger is the dipped headlight. They angled down far, far too much. I REALLY miss the matrix LED's I had in my previous VW. Kia definitely need get better headlights.

See the April 2020 Consumer Reports magazine if your library is open now- the Stinger made the list of highest owner satisfaction. The 2.5 turbo engine has both direct and port injection for the K5, maybe the same for the Stinger.

Drl I believe different.. 4 leds forgot to show us... Is it DVRs built in? What is different 2.5l with 3.3l in terms of interior? Lexicon? Never heard of it.. Sorento in Australia use BOSE sound systems.. No DVRs..unfortunately.. Only Diesel.. KDM got many options...backup light is bulb type of led? Sorento backup light only one on bottom left.. Bulb type unfortunately... You guys for 2.. Don't mind shift wire no dials type as sport car.. Dials I test drive sorento can't put your hand when drive far away.. Disadvantage of it... But dials shift nice for suv.. Sport model maybe this one suited..

I absolutely love the Stinger. If the G70 is the car I buy when I win the lottery, the Stinger is the one I buy eventually with hard work. I know most people slept on the 2.0T, preferring the power of the 3.3TT, but recently people have discovered the improved handling of the smaller engine, and the better fuel economy. And a 4cyl that can put down 300hp is a match for what I need and far more stylish and elegant than the V6 I drive now. However, I do not think the 4 cyl is available in Canada any longer.

Active sound is the same tech Lexus use on the LFA to make it sound so sweet. It’s all done with speakers and most people don't even know that. I would rather upgrade the exhaust on the stinger to give it a real performance sound upgrade. Great video though and very informative.

I'm especially interested in the Stinger's 2.5L turbo base engine in the 2021 model. It's the same engine found in the performance versions of the Hyundai Sonata and KIA K5 as well as the KIA Sorento and is the base engine/drive train in the Genesis G80 and GV80. (Various states of tune, of course, but the same engine and drive trains.) Notable, of course, is that the Stinger (as well as the KIA Sorento and the Genesis vehicles) can be spec'ed with AWD and the 2.5L turbo, a configuration not available (at least in the US) in the Sonata and the K5. One factor in my interest in the new engine is the fact that I purchased my 2018 KIA Sorento was the availability of its 3.3L naturally aspirated V6. I was skeptical about the long term durability of four cylinder turbo engines in a vehicle with a curb weight well over 2 tons without passengers, fuel, and luggage/gear. The replacement by the 2.5L turbo 4 banger has been a concern. But seeing the variety of applications KIA, Hyundai, and Genesis gives me some confidence in its versatility, especially considering the Korean brands' industry leading warranties.

How tight are the seats vs a Palisade? just a little tighter or a lot or are they similar to the G70? I like those just fine... been wanting the 3.3 but the smile on your face in the 2.5 seems to show that might be good enough! :)

Compare to Hyundai Palisade, this 2021 Kia Stinger has firmer and tighter back rest. I think it's very similar to that of Genesis G70. Thank you Marb

The 2.5 turbo is the midlevel option. In canada im sure we will get an option to have the full screen. Its just to keep costs down and save the good stuff for the high level car. I like the dials better anyways. The 7 inch screen with digital displayis more than enough

I have 2.0 gt Line with jb4 with some more mods running at 310hp and it is a complete different animal so I am very exited with the 2.5 I agree also is the rigth balance, let see how you fell the new 3.3 for a better decision to renew it again for na stinger, greetings from Mexico, Great videos you have

I added Dynamat in my 2020 stinger in the area around the battery to insulate road noise and hollowness. Made a huge difference. I wonder if Kia made any changes to the stinger for better sound absorption and dampening, although the back is clearly still bare.
