I own a lund tyee 1970...the thing I dislike about lund is the low transome..... I always have to be mindful of waves rolling over the transom on lake eire
@ValleyMarine13 жыл бұрын
The transoms are taller than you think. Unless you are backing up into the waves, you shouldn't be taking any over the transom. The wave should be lifting the boat up as it approaches. I haven't run boats on Lake Erie, but we have big swells on the Columbia River. I've never had an issue with a wind wave coming over the transom.

@@ValleyMarine1 i have a Starcraft superfisherman 19ft. I personally like being able to lean on my transom and not worry about falling over. the Tracker boats and Lund are building these platforms now. They are great for storage but little else. that boat would definately take waves over the transom on lake Erie.

How many batteries can you put in the battery compartment? I have heard there is only room for two and you have to put the third in the other compartment.
@ValleyMarine13 жыл бұрын
The bow battery compartment on the 1875 and 1975 Tyees hold 2 batteries. We put the 3rd battery in a box and put it in the back of the bow port compartment.

Why are boat builders still putting in carpet when there are much better and easier to maintain products that last so much longer than carpet?
@ValleyMarine13 жыл бұрын
Carpet is not as easy to maintain as vinyl for sure, but it does hold up better in areas where there are alot of bends (seat backs in the Tyee are a good example).
