Oh my goodness, he looks so good! I can't believe he's the same horse you brought home, he just looks spectacular! And his ears pricked forward during xc, relaxed and having fun, what a fabulous little guy. He almost looks like a little Friesian, with that flowing mane and tail.

He has come such a very long way. It's such a pleasure seeing him adapt to this new life and seem to enjoy it, for the most part- despite those dang dressage rails, shadows and menacing sticks! He is a gorgeous little guy. I wish so much I had the money and space for someone like him in my life.

Wow, I just watched the intro of him jumping the table. He is enjoying XC now, he really has found his niche. The power he's always used for "running" away, he's now using it for attacking! Ive felt something for Eton since he off loaded at your yard and you and I felt he was prob gonna tweak the training routine and time line! But hey look at you both now, he's found his confidence now he's given in to trust. Without you though I think he'd revert back in a heartbeat. He's no fool❤️ 🇬🇧👌🔥🔥🔥

I have to ask: how do you keep him so black? My intermediate horse is black and he fades so easily... he’s black for like 2 weeks every time his new coat comes in. Plus everything on the planet is illegal for FEI that I’ve found on the internet that helps. My gelding’s weight and coat look beautiful on the buckeye feed, but he just doesn’t want to keep his color.

out of curiosity, How physically demanding is Eventing? I notice you're often out of breath during cross country. I've never ridden a horse, but I imagine your legs feel like rubber or jello?

It is a extreme sport if you would ask me. Back in my days when I was still riding a Horse I would Even be out of breath after a dressage lesson. I cant Imagine how fit you need to be for this kind of eventing, especially the one day ones. Your idea of jello legs is btw really correct, at least for me, But I was Never as trained as she probably is.

Oh and in dressage, allow him to stretch his neck more. He is going behind the vertical a lot of the time.
