2021 Martin D-15m

I have this Martin and is simply one of the best Dreads I've ever heard. I particularly love the Mahogany tone for its woodiness and warmth, not at all sparkly but has a superb tone.

Hello, I would go for the Martin, but I am a Martin fan, and not a Taylor guy so am biased. Lighter, more open and warmer sounding. Try em both in person if you can. Goid luck!

Brand new strings for this Demo? What are you running sir! I play a D15 Martin as well and typically stick to Martin MA545 92/8 PBs to get a little extra brightness and definition out of the Mahogany.. I get this kind of brightness for about the first 1/2 hour of playing on a new set of strings before it mellows (Not a bad thing imo) Just would love to keep this kind of brightness and definition longer.

Greetings, this guitar has an unusual brightness for all mahogany. Using Elixir light phosphor bronze nanoweb. I find Elixir's have a bit more punch, volume, brightness, especially the HD lights (which have medium gauge trebles/light bass). Cheers!

is it true some martin 15 m series are now made in mexico?

@@allanallen1835 The D-15E is $400 cheaper and made in Mexico. Both are solid wood with some differences, like electronics in the E, and butter bean tuners. I tested both side by side and preferred the D-15M
