Yes, if are light footed on accelerator maruti's gives fantastic mileage. I have even seen mileage of upto 28kmpl on 2019 Baleno petrol. But only thing I'm not convinced is it's build quality and stability post 110kmph.

If you are mostly riding in city and not highways, build quality and ncap scores can be put aside for a minute, as there's a lower risk of getting rekt by other vehicles, under 30-50 kmph drive zones, the car is not bad, but for highways be careful, I would say wait a few more years if they even try to upgrade the build quality to atleast 4stars

Tin can, but what are the other options if you want a decent automatic under 8 lk. Tatas 1.2 engine is a joke to pull that heavy body. Hyundai's are over priced. So Swift sells, the milage/good handling is an added advantage. If you are going under 80, the probability of accidents are very less and the Swift has improved braking. If you are going above 100 ( which is now annoying because of the beeping) regularly in this car, thats a risk. For others(like older people) swift makes perfect sense. It's fast, agile and offers good milage. If money doesn't matter much then there are better options.

Swift is impressive on all accounts. I am using a 2019 petrol Tata Tigor AMT and for solo ride on highway without chaotic traffic it gives a mileage of 25.1 or 25.4 or 22 plus with traffic woes. I thought that was fantastic!

If you want build quality and safety then go blindly with the Altroz else for the reliability, resale, services and mileage Swift is better for you. However, we also suggest you look at the Altroz XT i-Turbo. It's a true drivers car and for the mileage, it will easily give 16-17 kmpl depending on how you drive. So yeah, you can check the XT i-Turbo if budget is not an issue.

Really fake....when the ARAI mileage itself is 22 to 23 kmpl, which is done on a roller, without any traffic, ups and downs.....how can the real world mileage be above 25kmpl? My all new i20 diesel also shows 34 kmpl on MID while going downhill and when i am the only person sitting in the car, but when all my family members, i.e, 4 people sit and go outside, driving really light foot and continuously looking at the MID to get good mileage, it gives an average of only 22kmpl. This is all fake. In my opinion real practical mileage of new dual jet swift engine would maximum be around 20kmpl
