First timer. Listening to your review and comments I kept thinking - "erudite." a term I don't use lightly. I'm retired and recently have become fascinated with autos, auto tech, auto performance, and auto aesthetics - as a daily pastime. This review, your review, gave me everything I look forward to and value in the best reviews - facts, details, comparison, opinion, and a mastery of the overall subject. Man mercedes benz and the AMG'S engineers will be very upset with this guy saying that the exhaust sound might be a little fake and the sound comes through the speakers. Brother out of all the cars outhere you definitely picked the wrong one to say that the sound is a little fake. The sound is as real as it gets.

I just got a new GLE 450 SUV. I added some nice options like Airmatic suspension, black/gray nappa leather, massaging seats and more. MSRP was $82,000. The GLE in your video looks awesome. No doubt but I wonder is it worth the additional $51,000? If you saw mine, it looks quite similar to the one in this video. Is it worth the equivalent of buying another car?

For the power, maybe. But a regular GLE 450 is fine for 99% of people.

CarBuzz yeah. I agree. I’m quite satisfied with my 450. Would I like a hand built 603 HP V8? Of course. But it’s not a priority. And it still gets me to 60mph in about 5.3 secs. That’s not bad
