Great review Emma!! I have a new 2021 Mini Countryman S (Mini Yours Edition) in Island Blue/Piano Black and I love the syling of the vehicle. I have no problem with the power/performance and the Mini Countryman really stands out from the crowd, while also being fun to drive. I am keen to see your long term review as I have two current issues: 1. No Android Auto (AA) - Without AA it's really hard to do basic things like listen to Bluetooth music as you can't control via voice and have to use manual controls. Other than that, the general Infotainment, navigation system, Mini Connected are all fine. Sure, I could get a phone holder to mount my phone and use "OK Google", but I would much prefer to use the in-built wireless charger in the center console and the steering wheel controls (plus the interior of the Mini is too nice to slap an ugly phone holder on it). 2. Wind-noise from the front driver/passenger doors even at low-speed (< 50km hr), which is much worse on a windy day... seems the current door seals aren't that great for noise reduction, but this could be a fault with my Mini. Looking forward to your next review!

Even the Countryman with the 1.5l 3-cylinder engine is brilliant to drive. I recently had the chance to compare it back-to-back with my friend's CX-5 while crossing 3 mountain passes. The CX-5 is a great car overall but nowhere near as much fun on a twisty road. The way the Mini goes around corners is addictive. If you have ever driven one you'll never compare it to a RAV-4 that's for sure.

At $10K more, why would you pick this over a RAV4 AWD hybrid in cruiser trim? Is the badge really that expensive or is there something else?
