Awesome video man, I also have a 2020 yfz with the fmf 4.1, vortex and FCI. I didn’t measure the inside diameter of my FCI to see if it was bigger than the factory intake, do you think it’s possible that I’m getting less air flow from my FCI vs factory intake? Thanks as always!
@AustinRohr2 жыл бұрын
It's possible! They're not all this way, but the shop that dynoed my bike said it seemed like a recent batch at the time had come out thicker than normal. Either way, we were able to get a lot out of it opening it up to 48mm. Just have to be patient with the Dremel and not make it too thin to the point that it's weak. And obviously clean up all of the plastic before reinstalling.

Did Jeff keep the stock valves or replace with + size intake valves? Did he give you a baseline horsepower increase for the port job alone compared to the stock head? He's posted some ported head vs stock head graphs for Honda's on his FB page that are damn impressive!
@AustinRohr2 жыл бұрын
We did all stock valves! And he was still tweaking the head stuff a bit at the time so we didn't have a clearcut before and after. The difference was pretty dramatic, though!

@@AustinRohr OCP has got a few things figured out...It wasn't that many years ago other guys were still figuring out the R heads and not able to get to 55hp without spending a lot more $$... At the end of the day you have a great running quad that's also reliable. I wonder what the RP Race throttle body would do to your build..

Are you running the radius cx?
@AustinRohr2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was. I really enjoyed it but it's certainly not for everyone.

@@AustinRohr yeah I’m using it now too. Thinking of switching to the Hinson just to try it out. No issues with the Rekluse tho. Runs pretty good.

What coolant in your radiator?

Just the standard Yamalube stuff, nothing special at all.

So the vortex was $699??
@AustinRohr2 жыл бұрын
Correct. They're not cheap. They're not even perfect for that matter. But a piggyback tuner won't solve the stock ECU issues and sending the ECU off to be reprogrammed is great so long as you don't decide to change anything with the machine.

I thought they were 799
