I love this game as completely the reverse where the OU usually gets the "Sooner Magic" in games for phantom calls or no calls which go OU's way; well, this game - almost every call went the Pokes way! Doesn't eliminate 40 years of mysterious calls that doomed the Cowboys, but so sweet to tell my Sooner friends - "See? That is what the rest of the conference has been experiencing and it finally happened to yOU!"

Amen brother. The one everybody forgets is the phantom holding call in 88. On our FB it was thrown from the ou sideline. Forcing Gundy to pass it. If Sanders run wouldn’t have been negated we would have had a 1st down at OU’s 14 I believe ?

As someone who isn't a fan or hater of either team, I loved this game! It was back and forth and exciting. The offenses lit it up in the first half, then the defenses made adjustments and things changed after halftime. The fact each team muffed punts in the second half was wild. One of the best games I watched in 2021. Jim Knowles did a fantastic job with the Cowboys' defense. Until recently, I didn't associate Mike Gundy's teams with strong defense. The tackle by Harper on the fourth down where he doesn't give up on the play and tackles Caleb Williams from behind was impressive. It wasn't unlike the tackle from Travon Walker on Hall for Alabama during the National Championship Game in January.

I agree with the announcers that college refs let corners and other defenders actually cover the defender. Despite the slight push off by the Sooner TE 41:00 in, no defensive PI was called because the throw by Williams was good enough the receiver was going to catch it anyway. Using common and situational sense is something NFL regs are capable of doing.

I usually get such joy watching the Sooners lose, especially in a big game. However, the obvious pass interference at 2:34:08 in the end zone not being called made me feel bad for the Sooners and their fans. I didn't think that was possible. Can't really enjoy this result, even though I was rooting for OSU, as the last :30 seconds is just a bit too slimy. No guarantee the Sooners win even if the PI is called and they get fresh downs at the 8 yard line with 22 seconds left, but they at least deserved the chance. And ironically, I usually hate any pass interference flags, as anything borderline I prefer to let them play, but that was just a mugging, as he literally hooked him around the chest to prevent him to going to the ball with both hands free.
