I own a 2019- the reviewer keeps mentioning an all new dash but I can confirm the dash remains unchanged. The seats have the new R-Line embroidered cloth insert seats. The gear selector has some new plastics on it. The climate control controls are updated. The steering wheel is VW’s new wheel. And yes there are exterior changes such as headlights and grill.

It needs a better accent on the interior. Its just all a sea of gray. Also, an awful lot of molded hard plastics. I'm glad to see they went back to the old vertical C pillar. I hated the angle on the second generation. The only question is however, does the rear window go all the way down?

@@TCG_Opening_DE that’s exactly what im saying, a turbo with only 150 is weak. i have a 2020 hyundai santa fe 2.0T AWD limited that i just purchased and that has 235 hp and 265lb ft of torque. even that to me is so so. i love the look of the tiguan but what put me off was its severely underpowered

stay away from Peugeot if that's your car choice instead of Tiguan.check the engine in Peugeot,if it's not diesel and if it's not originally made in Peugeot factory,stay away from it.Peugeot has been bought off by Citroen group,struggled for years as company,got bailed out few times by state until it was bought off.used engines from other car brands like Bmw.I had Peugeot 308,had Bmw engine from Mini Cooper S,non stop oil leaks,problem around turbo booster,problem with fuel injector,problem with various electronics/sensors,and all that in first 80.000Km!I will never buy car from them again.I hear VW is faulty too as brand but I think less than Peugeot.Get Honda Hrv or Crv,they are nice looking,reliable,a bit more expensive than other Asian counterparts but worth money.

Average HP for a small SUV 4 cylinder engine is atleast 240. Midsize 6 cylinder is around 280 and a large suv 8 cylinder engine has to have like 400 horses under that bitch. So you tell me. They not as reliable, nor as fuel efficient than Korean or Japanese cars (straight and level flight), but they are a blast to drive up and down winding canyon roads. One brand is for go, the other is just for show. You really have to drive a Tucson then go drive a 320 hp Tiguan R. I sincerely hope they bring the Tiguan R to North America.
