I bought the new Rogue this week and absolutely love the vehicle. Things that jump out at me from the others in this segment is the features the SV model get at the price point: - all the safety features. - Pro Pilot assist. amazing feature with stop and go functionality. really nice perk. - QUIET ride. I'm amazed how quiet this vehicle is. - XCVT transmission is nothing like the previous CVT transmission. This transmission actually feels like it shifts gears and feels SOOOO much better than the previous Nissan transmissions. I upgraded from a 2015 Altima and can tell you the difference is night and day. Excellent upgrade in the transmission! I truly feel this is probably the best bang for your buck out there.

Great review. Yes, I'm years late in seeing it, but with continuing health issues looking for something used and less expensive than my current '23 is becoming a consideration. Having worked at a Nissan dealer previously I am no stranger to the CVT criticisms, but their over all quality is still above par, and in many ways from my experience with several other brands I consider it better than some other much vaunted brands as they don't have some of the other driveline issues those brands had. I mean, we never needed to stock driveshafts and rear differentials for their popular SUVs, nor had I even seen one need to be replaced -- and can't say that about the other Japanese brand I worked at where we seemed to often replace several in a month's time. I also worked with a tech who worked for another popular brand know for their AWD systems, and he confirmed what I'd heard about the issues they had with their CVTs which seemed to be even more troublesome than Nissans.

I just bought the Platinum FWD. so far so good. Love the way it drives, especially at night. Interestingly though, we had a tornado hit the community 3 days after I got the Rogue so I needed to use the 12 volt plugs in the cargo area. It worked at first but then the car wouldn’t start and I started getting engine and maintenance alerts from the app.

C-C....Thinking about trading my 2019 Santa Fe SEL in on one even though I really like it overall. Should I be concerned about the JATCO Trans. I have read it has failed on many Rogues in past years.

I’m sure they are in the works. Nissan had some issues over the last year. Check out the Carlos Ghosn story, Nissan is making big changes and have hybrid experience in other vehicles.

@@CarCoachReports No problem. But if I ever get another car I'll definitely check to see if you've done a review on it. I'm also very meticulous about the lumbar support since my back is so bad. Must be 4 way power. Hopefully they'll make the same for the rear outboard seats as well. Lol. But your reviews are the absolute best. Better than almost all other reviewers out there.
