Even though the paint job on this figure NOT really similar to the artwork but this Triceratops still a Ultra-nice figure for my opinion 😃. Happy New Year from Malaysia 🇲🇾, Andy 😊!

I was confused on why the museum series are so expensive, like 80$-90$, whereas the normal figures were only 30$-60$, but now I know it’s because it comes with a motherload of art

LOL. Not to clown you, but I ordered mine off Amazon last Thursday and received it Saturday! I didn't order from overseas early enough to receive it before Amazon would get it in, so I waited (I did order the Iquanodon & Centrosaurus timely & received weeks ago, and the Styracosaurus should be delivered any day now). I found if you don't order within the 1st week of being available overseas, sometimes you'll get it either before or at the same time if you wait for Amazon to get them.

I'm quite new to collecting but are the Triceratops' horns meant to point so low in relation to the face/head?.
@bloodangel94033 жыл бұрын
The real fossil that this is based on, had its horns that way. You can already tell, from the included skull that it is a perfect match.

easily the definitive Triceratops in its field, it's just the price being double or even triple Safari's and Eofauna's. doesnt really explain that price point.

Your copy looks nicer than some I’ve seen. That said that articulating jaw and cheek-less mouth look bad. The amount of re-sculpt and re-paint needed to bring the figure to par would be extensive. Post cranial the sculpt is nice.

Ya know....a snapping turtle has nothing on a Triceratops.

Its good but it doesn't really look right imo. The frill doesn't really look natural. I feel like it should have had some spines on the frill. The mouth slit is too long. Animals like this would have probably had cheeks to masticate the food. There are no cheeks on this one. The horns are way too long. Would have loved to see some stripes on its body and those feather-like quills on its back.

Cheeks. Cheek-less. I dunno. But… Without cheeks, I think an animal like a ceratopsian would appear like a prehistoric Cookie Monster with foliage and juices flying everywhere as it browsed/grazed. Cheeks make sense. And, unfortunately, looking at the length and angle of the horns, this dude could only be a mid-height browser/grazer. The horns wouldn’t permit comfortable low-level grazing. They’d be digging furrows out in front of the snout. Unless digging out tuberous plants was a secondary use for the horns…. I’m not a fan of this PNSO figure. I’ve really liked the majority of what they’ve produced but this one is really wrong, not just aesthetically. Physiologically, it doesn’t quite make sense. Just my opinion. I’ll pass on this one.

Многие люди недовольны этой фигуркой, потому что рога намного длиннее, чем были у реального животного и отсутствие щёк возможно также не соответствует действительности.
@danielmcgillivray2033 жыл бұрын
Yeah the headsculpt is awful imo, the horns are far too long and the frill looks more like that of Torosaurus, and the mouth just doesn't look right with the way the cheeks are

Zzzzz. . . . To each his own, but the same 3 bland colors PNSO cant get enough of is still extra boring. Them adding all those great paleoart pics in thier boxes, really brings the boredom of the final product home. Papo , BOTM, Nanmu, etc, for the win lol.

I was expecting this guy being waaaaaay bigger. Kind of ruines the figure for me. 😐
