Wow that’s pretty good mileage. Man that Turbo S Is like a Swiss Army Knife of Cars. It does so much. Some really special engineering there.

Swiss army knife of performance cars. I feel like a car that's better allrounder for most people is a golf gti but that's just because it's more economical and has more cargo and seating area; Whilst having more then enough power for the average joe. But for high-level performance car like you said the turbo s is the swiss army knife. It's basically good at everything a performance can be good at: Great handling, super fast 0-60 and 1/4 miles. can actually stiffen up for tracking, comfortable daily driver, room for some cargo, useable backseats, good rpm-limit with high hp and still retains tons of lowend torque, optional front lift and sports suspension, low COG, good fuel economy, really good infotainment and climate system with tons of physical buttons, sporty steering wheel, lots of room and comfort for the driver while still being sporty and cockpit-like, extremely fast DCT(pdk) that has super satisfying manual shifts and aggressive downshifts in auto, physical drive-mode selector on steering wheel, not a lot of buttons to overwhelm the driver, super good dash with a mix of digital gauges with a center race-style physical tachometer, luxurious interior with high quality materials, good looks on the outside, small enough to be nimble but big enough to be comfortable, good awd system with excellent traction in all weather and road conditions, decent sounding exhaust (made better with mod) with really cool intake noises, more on that the subtle engine note on the exterior makes it not obnoxious and droney but the intake sounds still make it engaging during spirited driving, good aero for high-speed stability while not being over the top, cool looking car that will turn heads but won't attract unwanted attention or have people bothering you all the time, fuel tank much larger then other cars but doesn't bloat the car, makes about 580whp reliably on 91oct and with a conservative tune can make 600whp on the same fuel with stock boost level, 93oct tuned +3psi(max safe boost pressure on stock turbos) race tuned examples make just under 700whp, examples also shown considerable gains further on race fuel or 100ct, the car is really overbuilt and the main limiting factors are the stock turbos and cooling, as with an upgraded intercooler full exhaust race fuel tune and meth injection which make 830whp; those mods fix the IAT problem and basically are bottlenecked by the stock turbos CFM and squeezing out more psi and ruining the turbos for little gains doesn't make sense, pure turbo upgrade retains stock exhaust and intake system so a direct bolt on and increases cfm a lot and you'll see numbers above that previous amount with this upgrade and supporting mods but it's not well documented as the car is newer and expensive so not a lot of people run this mod but it would net in the 800-1000whp range before you'd need to work on internals and fuel system, anyway yeah the car is just insane and can be a perfect daily for basically anyone and at the same time be a rocket ship or a psuedo-track car.

this video is actually extremely useful information. This car truly is a Jack of all trades.

For a 650hp car that is outstanding. This amount of power 20 years ago would give you 10s mpg. Even a 996 Turbo would give you 20mpg with 415hp

yeah, sounds nice till you know that every normal modern car will use about 6 l/100km driving like this and diesel probably under 5 l/100 km.

A “gawker” eh? Lol Would you also consider someone stopping and and appreciating a piece of art a “gawker”? Otherwise good vid, Love the turbo S.

1:00 how does it feel knowing that if literally anyone was chasing you, you could get away so easily that you wouldn’t even have to think about it. On the other hand, if someone ever stole the car there’s almost no hope of catching them.

how about mpg when you driving constant 100 / 150 mph? Its more what this car was made for. Or maybe 200 /250 km/h for european spectators.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the displacement of the engine went down a little for the 992, making this current 911 Turbo/S 3.7L
@DailyMotor3 жыл бұрын
You are correct. It says 3.8 on the car, and I realized that after shooting the video. So I have plausible reason to say 3.8 since Porsche calls it a 3.8, but yes it's technically 3745 cc.
