OMG!! This is the first time I’ve seen a reading journal and this is such an amazing idea!! I love to read and even have a little library in my house where I have 100s of books (a lot that I still need to read, I get excited and buy lots of books even though I still have lots to read haha). This is definitely an awesome journal idea that I would like to do for 2021. I’m so excited! 😍

this whole journal is gorgeous!! also, my idea for the books you have read is cover it with a flap of tracing paper. that way you can still see them but they are like "faded out" and the ones you need to read still are bolder!

I’m getting a lot of questions about how I print the book covers. It’s not some magic trick, you guys!😅 I just google the book, save an image of the cover, put them into Microsoft Word or Pages (I use both🤷🏼‍♀️), set the width to 2cm so they’re all the same width, and then I print them out on my old Office Jet which is not fancy at all, just an old printer I found at my parents’ house three years ago. Also: the giveaway is closed!:) The winner has been announced over on my Community Tab, and the prize has been mailed to the winner :)

for marking them as read you could create an outline around the ones you read. make it look like a framed poster. nothing too fancy since there isnt space. but if you have a pen with gold ink or something it'll stand out. or you could just draw corner guards on two right side corners to make it look like those fancy hard cover books. i personally wouldnt like to mark over the covers and i think either of these two ways will help draw you eye to the ones you completed at a glance :)

Goodreads is a great alternative, and much faster and more efficient than keeping a reading journal haha! I also have a Goodreads account, but I only update it every couple of months or so, and I don’t really write reviews since I write in my journal, and it’s not super important to me to share my thoughts on the books I read on the internet. But, definitely a good option, and I do research on Goodreads sometimes before reading a book (except for the books San recommends me, those I just dive into without even reading the blurb or any kind of description hahaha)

Love the concept of a reading journal. I think I'm going to start one today. I also think I will have to journal about some of my favorite books that I read in 2020. Thanks for the wonderful idea. xo Lisa

I stopped reading books when I became busy preparing for exams in college. And this gave me the inspiration to start again. Thanks so much for this, will include it in my 2021 to do list.

I knooow, university is tough! I did really reading-intensive programs both for my Bachelor's and Master's, and my solution was audiobooks - I can listen to them while cooking, while commuting, while getting ready for bed, etc. :)

@@mochibujo haven't tried audio books before. Can you recommend some? I'd really love love to try. Congrats im finishing your studies. I just recently graduated in college, 2nd week of November, so i think I'd have time now while preparing for board exams.

I’m such an avid reader and this really motivates me to make a reading journal! I use a bullet journal as well but that is mostly for my to dos and monthly collections. I think it would be nice to use a different journal specifically to reflect on what I read. Thank you so much for this inspiration!

I love this idea! I spend a lot of my journaling time in my traveler's Notebook, but I think it wouldn't be too bad to set aside an insert for a reading journal. I love all those vintage looking spreads 😍

I like the idea of using an image of the book to track what you want to read. I used to just keep a sheet of paper in my purse with a list of authors and the books I wanted to buy and the ones I already have. I find a journal on this a little intimidating but may have to try some of your layouts.
