Selmer priced this too high. I can do the same with a Yamaha at half the price

Neck screw is moving around not because you need different location for it. What happens on regular Instrument. When you tighten the neck screw, it makes the socket uneven and after a while it makes the shape of the socket uneven and does not seal anymore. Since now rings is freely rotating and it has few cuts on sides, it works more like a clamp, that apply even pressure and it's much better way. If was invented many years ago, but nobody did it except SML Marigaux that got a gold medal prize at the Paris exhibition.
