2021 Shimano Spheros vs 2020 Shimano Saragosa (which is a better buy)

I have 3 spheros and they all work excellent, next reel will be the twin power for my self. My kids use the spheros in the 4000 size for stripped bass and everything else we catch.

From everything I saw between the 2 I think that's a very good decision you made there. I actually jumped on the reels as they were put out on the market. But if I had to choose in 2022 I'd choose the spheros. Thanks for watching.

the spheros lacks a bearing, bottom stack drag system, shielded drive gear bearings and the one piece bail compared to the saragosa. Still the spheros is great value saltwater reel.

Most people miss the fact that the plunger is metal. This is a huge deal if you’re using it in the surf. Sand and salt can make your cap stick, and when fish takes drag, the plunger *may cause issues, when made of plastic. Another overlooked item is the bail. The Gosa has a one piece bail, which is better in use and in terms of durability.

Does the JDM Speros 6000PG have the same quality internals as the export models? Same Hagane gears? I wanted the PG, which is only sold overseas.

Great comparison, the Spheros is leading that price point at the moment I think. Also you can cut up an old sock to use as line bands around the spool, works just like the ones you buy.

Because of reviews like yours last year I replaced several reels with Spheros, I had several Saragosa in the past and I couldn't disagree more with your opinion on the spheros, the major difference between the 2 reels is the quality control from the manufacturer, Saragosa always works great out of the box, Spheros does not, gear play, tough drag knob etc etc, even in your video I can hear the spheros gear play making clic clic when you spin at high speed, the best value for money is the saragosa. plus when you will resale your reel the saragosa will be desirable against the spheros that no one with experience will be wanting to purchase used, 9rightly so).

So basically you're saying that you're unhappy with the spheros? I totally understand what you're saying in terms of resale value etc but you gotto remember this reel is under $200 with all the features of reels value close to $300 and up.

Did you notice a thicker shaft on the saragossa? I just purchasesd the spheros

The main shaft on both reels are identical. Both reels being the spheros sw6000 and the saragosa sw6000

About i buy new shimano spheros sw C5000xg 2021 The bail arm its not automatically close if i used the handle i jave to closed it by my hand so did the modle like that or this issues in the product . Please confirm with me urgently

Thats normal. Bail arm does not close automatically on saragosas either. Close it manually. It was designed like that.

Can you fit the gosa handle on the Spheros?

Should be able to. Its basically the same screw thread. But if you need a complete handle I suggest gomexus plug and play handles
