Fabi officially still isn't world number 3 and never was , get your facts corrected .....he played more games in recent than ding so after rounding off 2798.5 to 2799 it ranks him higher than ding on official records ..... official records are what counts fr since qualifications of fide events based on official records and not on your "live2700" and rn his rating isn't final for this month bc tournament isn't over nor we know he gonna play any other matches this month ........don't speak anything before you have enough knowledge and common sense

@@shaunakpatel6461 i think op was referring to live ratings .. they don't "count" but they are fast
@billmorrigan3863 жыл бұрын
@@shaunakpatel6461 Yeah, Fabi is pretty much number 2 on FIDE with a 2806 Elo. Hopefully he'll stay there at 2800+ as I root for him. The deduction of 7.5 points is pending (from the previous tournament). FIDE doesn't change ratings very fast, more like every 2 months or so. This game is nothing. Hopefully, he'll show good performance in the upcoming games and events. He also needs to improve his fast time control ratings but that's much less important. It will happen naturally if he manages to keep up at 2800+. I also think FIDE should not change ratings too fast. It's not some online cheating frenzy and shenanigans. OTB chess is relatively clean and aboveboard. As to Ding Liren, he may eke out the second place on the rating chart in upcoming tournaments or he may drop below third place just as well.

The coffee story is hardly believable..players should stick to apologies, imo; Wesley overdid here.
@mmartel3 жыл бұрын
Disagree. Wesley IMO was honest and refreshingly candid. He was apologetic and actually gave very thoughtful suggestions on how to reduce draws in major tournaments. Even Magnus has said in other tournaments that he played for quick draw because he didn't feel well that day.
