The Most awaited compact SUV -Skoda Kushaq has been launched in India at an introductory price of Rs 10.50 lakh ( Ex-showroom, Delhi ). Available in three variants, Kushaq is the first SUV launched under the banner of the India 2.0 project of Skoda AUTO Volkswagen India, where cars from the Volkswagen Group will be heavily localized in India to keep prices competitive.

The base variant of Kushaq (Active) features one engine and transmission option ie. the 1.0-litre TSI engine (115PS/178Nm), mated to a 6-speed MT.
Kushaq offers the mid variant Ambition with the same 1.0-litre TSI engine but it will have two transmission options ie. a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed torque converter.
The top variant Style will be available with the 1.0 L TSI engine (with both 6-speed MT and torque converter options) as well as the 1.5-litre TSI unit (150PS/250Nm). The 1.5-litre engine either gets a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DSG transmission.
The 1.5 Litre TSI motor makes Kushaq one of the most powerful SUVs in the segment.

Coming to its competition, the new Skoda Kushaq is positioned in the Compact SUV segment where it rivals the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, and its sibling Volkswagen Taigun.

This is how a 2nd base model must be...... Even base is good........ No cost cuttings in steering mounted controls, etc.. Driver seat adjustment is even present in base model.....fantastic!! Other companies ditch adjustable head rest, speakers, touchscreen, etc..... Well done skoda.... But tata nexon top model at 12.5 lakhs.......fully loaded car....is more practical than this

Just watched a video of the active (base )variant and even the base variant has height adjustable driver seat adjustment and even the features are well loaded for a base

*KUSHAQ Ambition is expensive for a 4 Seater 1 0 TC MT engine & less shoulder room in the rear Seat* Its very Surprising for Skoda 2 0 Kushaq Ambition variant is not offered with Push Button Start/Stop & with Indian Ergonomics turn indicator & light switch on right & wiper on the left. Auto AC looks & feels Chinese product. Rear recline angle is upright & less comfortable. Should have be offered with flexibility to increase the angle for better Comfort. Yeh price me 1.5 Diesal variant aa jata hai with better fuel efficiency, better Torque & better Rear Seat Comfort.

No push button start, pathetic alloys, looks small in size compared to competitors, only good build quality, ignore Karo is gaadi ko, s cross ki category hai

Engine Efficiency, Torque aur Power agar aapke liye consideration nahi hai.. To aap Driving Enthusiast nahi hai.. Aur issi liye ye Gaadi aap ke liye nahi hai.. Aapko Gaadi nahi, Phone chahiye!

Ya and the value has to be tied to the overall package and cost of production as well... Ur choice of cars is good with what u r telling me that you drive but none of those are driving Enthusiast cars, apart from maybe endeavor. The cost of producing the engine that offers that power and performance will he high compared to providing push button start, appealing alloys.. And to provide the Torque the engine can deliver, the size has to be kept at optimum.. In fact no cars in the mid size suv segment are 5 seater and at being a 4 seater, the Kushaq is more comfortable than Creta. So like I said, if u r not a driving enthusiast, u will not find the power and performance as a value to be derived out of the price package. Anyhow, of the cars u drive, only Ecosport is of the relevant segment and a diesel at that, not the 1.0L petrol turbo...so again, thanks for explaining my point buddy.

Engine and driving experience is way better in skoda than your feature full cars like creta and seltos and kushak is 100 times safer than other 3 star rating cars..... I'll prefer Safety and driving experience more than sunroof, keyless entry and hill hold.
