Skoda Kushaq review in Hindi - Here's all you need to know about Skoda India's all-new compact SUV based on the Vision IN concept that was showcased at the previous edition of auto expo. The Kushaq will be available in two petrol engines - 1.0-litre and1.5-litre both mated to manual and automatic transmissions. The one I drove is the 1.0-litre with a 6-speed MT.

Reviewing after driving 250 kms - Kushaq is nice to drive and will feel modern and robust. - Overall driving dynamics, ride, steering controls and sharp turn handling is class-leading. Feels too safe and pleasure to drive. - All important security features that we use and are mandatory for safe driving dynamics at 18 lac on-road makes it the best choice. - Unique 2-spoke steering wheel (from Superb, Octavia) - Kushaq though has 385ltr capacity can easily fit the same baggage as Creta/Seltos (claim 400+ ltrs.) - Carbon Steel paint finish looks very nice, upmarket and premium. - 6-speaker audio system is surprisingly crisp and great sound with subwoofer. Negatives: - The steering feels a bit too light even at high speeds and could've weighed up better for more responsive feel though controlling it is precise. - Rear disk break and Digital instrument cluster. - No 6 air bags other than 1.0 MT - this is illogical. - Yes, priced 50k to 70k on the higher side - but performance, safety features (even in base models) and the driving experience of both 1.0 and 1.5-litre TSI variants somewhat justifies the price. I highly recommend Skoda Kushaq for those looking for premium small and powerful compact SUV for its clean design, driving dynamics, safety features and the Skoda brand and who cant afford T-Roc :)

The engine may be 1 Litre but it is powerful. There is almost no turbo lag. Drove it in the mountainous state of Arunachal Pradesh recently and the car handled the rough roads well. The 1 Litre turbocharged 6 speed automatic is a dream to drive on plain highways. The surge of power when you press the accelerator makes overtaking easy. The car felt stable at speeds approaching 140 kmph. The only drawback is that even for a car priced at 18 lakhs on road, electrically folding ORVMs were missing, which is highly surprising.

Yogiji Salute for one more great VDO. Loved your Unbiased Positive & Negatives of Kushaq 1.0 TSI - MT. Maybe Skoda should improve Insulation, Reduce clutch heaviness & long Travel and Gearbox shifting. Maybe as if we drive regularly we might get use to the clutch pressing & Gear shifting after some time. But that's not expected from Skoda as Co & brand in India. When Creata & Seltos offers a silken smooth soft clutch & gear shifting.

Appriciate this review, really good overall. My opinion: Agreed the overall length, height and so are lesser than it's korean rivals but you need to specify the difference. The difference is really minimal, does it impact significantly? I don't think so. Ground clearance is hardly 2mm lesser than creta. And around 1 Cm lesser than kia sonet. So specify the difference to make it understand better.

Waiting for price reveal. Wanted to book venue or Sonet. If base model is priced around 11.5 to 12 lakhs onroad definitely will go for this car. My budget is around 10 to 11 lakhs. But I can stretch my budget upto 1 lakh for Skoda's safety, build quality and for its ride handling.

Took a test drive very recently of the manual 1litre model peteol. Vikas perfectly mentioned that the clutch travel is very deep and the engine is noisy along with being a bit underpowered may be possibly the turbo does not kick in from the get go. The suspensions are on point. However indicators on left side and clumsy cruise control were not to my liking.

There is difference in boot space of Kushaq and Creta. It's bit deeper and accomodate more baggage than Creta. So On paper Creta more boot space but Technically Kushaq ha San edge over it.
