This is the first Škoda I will seriously consider buying. And that is not because of the name, but rather because of the look of the car. Previous models were designed like "they" were confused, kind of.........like "they" couldn't agree in which direction "they" want to go. But now, the car is looking good. And not just good. Very good. It looks like a car that want's to be taken seriously. Way to go Škoda! And the review, as always. Spitzenklasse 😉

Definitely not a low trim - the only things missing are sunroof and leather/memory seats. A low trim would be with small infotainment system and with basic LED headlights.

Nice Review Thomas! Is the more sophisticated rear suspension also in the 1.5tsi 150hp /1.5 tsi mhev or on the models above 150hp only? Also was wondering if the mild hybrid system is providing any economy in city driving like the toyota hybrid system? If it is only beneficial for motorway driving then it seems vag group hybrid is not worth the extra cash..

I'm going to buy a car and i'm between octavia and the juke. i test drove both of them, the performance is the same it gets the job done pretty well, the quality on the juke feels better, but octavia is so spacious and comfy that you can do a thousand kilometers straight with this car and you won't feel tired at all. Haven't decided yet it's a tough choice.

As I know these 1.0TSI engines have little vibration during idling because of just 3 cylinders.

I have to comment too, almost no one reviews the entry models, thanks for that. Great job! Yes, fuel economy the same as 1.5 liter, but the car IS cheaper. And emissions are stated as lower, which is a thing today. If one never races in the fast lane, some money can clearly be saved. Anyway, most buying these today buy because they have poor options for charging, as soon as the charging problems are solved the car will most likely be replaced with a plug in/full electric car. And the fuel economy/performance equation is moot. Todays electric cars are racers compared to the old combustion ones. This is a car to get by meanwhile ....

Nice budget-friendly estate. "intelligent" trunk cover .. non-removable it seems? Having to do quite a bit of freeway, I like the tech with the adaptive cruise and blind-spot warning light. The lane keep assist is too intrusive and annoying imo, I hope you can choose what to switch on and off. Would get the 1.5 for sure. I hope it also has removeable tow ability. Does it not have reversing camera (maybe option?). Bad UI

Depends on your choice If you want sportiness accompanied with some stylish exterior and tails lamps. Leon it is. If you want a car that is composed and quiet that compromises fun drive to comfort suspension. Golf it is. If you want a car best valued for money and the best practicality in class. Octavia it is .
