Thanks for the review. I have a deposit on the new Stumpy Expert or Pro, whichever comes in first. I am coming off a 2019 Stumpy Alloy LT. I was worried the bike wouldn’t be good at the downhill portions of the trail. This made me realize it is a great bike for Midwest trails. Thank you!

It’ll be a massive upgrade over the 2019 alloy bike! You’ll be stoked! Take the time to get the suspension dialed. Once you do that, you should be pretty happy on the downhills, and much happier on the uphills! Enjoy it!

Good video bro. You also had a stumpy ST don’t you? How would you compare them? Climbing? I’m trying to decide between this bike and a ripley, I’m full xc now a days 👍🏻

Hey Ivo, I did formerly have a Stumpy ST. I sold it and replaced it with the current Evo, which I really like. I have to say I was really impressed with the new standard Stumpjumper. It definitely climbs better than the older ST did. The Stumpy is a really great all-arounder. If I could only have 1 bike, I’d go Stumpy. It pedals really well and is totally capable on the downhill too. Ripley is supposed to be a good bike but I’m less familiar with it and have never ridden it so I can’t compare the two. All I can say is I really liked the Stumpjumper. Cheers

@@TJonesMTB would you go stumpy or stumpy Evo
@TJonesMTB4 жыл бұрын
@@sisufitness659 it really depends on the terrain. Being general though, if I could only have 1 bike, I’d probably go regular Stumpjumper. Cheers

@@sisufitness659 I did just put up a comparison video that you should check out. I go into more detail answering your question. Cheers

@@TJonesMTB thanks man! Do you know if it’s possible to run a larger rear shock in the Evo? Maybe a 160 coil?

Do you feel the S5 would have been a good fit as well? I'm 6'0 and ordered the S5
@TJonesMTB3 жыл бұрын
I think the S5 could definitely work for you, but I personally wouldn’t want an S5. But that’s me, on my trails, with my riding style. If the S5 works for you, then awesome! For me, I wouldn’t go bigger than an S4 and am personally completely happy with my S3 so it’s hard to think I’d be happy on an S5. But based on Specialized sizing philosophy, an S5 should totally work for you at 6’. Let me know how you like it once you get some rides on it! Cheers
