2021 Sport Glide Radiator Guard

I have been looking for an oil radiator guard that fits with an installed engine guard and found this one from Motea in Germany.

Hi Gabriele, you will have no trouble with the install other than the top bolt can be a little tricky. It may be worth turning the top hole in the guard into a slot so you dont have to take the top bolt out just loosen it. Just a thought.

Great video! ✌🏻 I got the 2019 SG. That plastic guard protects some part of radiator. There are certain stainless steel covers made specifically just for the radiator size which protect better. I ordered both radiator metal cover protection and the plastic cover. The radiator metal cover protects more, the big plastic cover is more of a design to cover that front part. I ordered another plastic cover model (it's longer and at the bottom is thinner). I bought the bike with a crash bar installed which is not an issue to fit the plastic cover, but the horn is. The plastic cover I ordered doesnt fit right at the top because the horn is too outside. I will have to cut a part of the plastic cover and tighten it from the crash bar.

I have been looking to replace the stock horn as it's an embarrassment. Like the idea of the steel rad cover 👍

I got mine to fit perfectly by taking the stock radiator surround off. Then I drilled two new holes centred (the holes that came with it weren't believe it or not) and close to the back edge of the guard. Then it fit perfectly... I blocked the old holes with two rubber blanking grommets. Since you can't see them it doesn't matter but the blanking grommets looks professional anyway.

So doing what I said meant the top mount sat flush with no stress on the plastic + the sides of the chin spoiler followed the frame better.

Wasn't sure about the guard, but it actually looks pretty good.. Something I might do myself...but next things on my upgrade list are Memphis Shades handguards, heated grips, rear guards and maybe a Mustang solo seat...(Just did 2217mile roadtrip and stock seat wasn't bad...but new seat is the last upgrade I think) Thanks for the upload..

When I bought the bike I didn't think there was much I wanted to change. 13 mods later and Im still finding things I want to change. No end to it but thats what Harleys are about, personalisation 👍 Ride safe

@@My_bike_and_me Great ! I should have scrolled through your posts, My wife has a 2020 Sport Glide, since putting an actual windshield on it we've noticed it draws up a lot of road debris from the short front fender, Thanks Again , Keep up the Great Work !

@@paulreed1008 Just glad to be of some help. The extended fender defiantly helps but I did still notice some road dirt splashed up on the bottom of the rad so thats why I fitted the guard. I really like the look of it though. Ride safe

Hi Martin, I want to tell you something about your protection plastic. You put the lower bracket the wrong way. The holes to mount the plastic must point to the back, now your protection plastic is not tight to the frame, if you turn the bracket the plastic will be more tight to the frame. Hi Martin,have had a difficult few months,still recovering and in remission,so that’s good,but radiotherapy really took its toll.Also due to vascular surgery I struggle with even the most simple of tasks.My partner’s health is deteriorating progressively,so it’s not been easy.I still try and watch your channels as much as I can,when time allows.Keep it up mate,you have a loyal following.Hope you and all the family is keeping well.🙏🏼P.S Harley is looking mean.👊🏼
