Thanks for the excellent video and explanation! I couldn't have done this without it :) During installation, I faced a minor problem, as the front hooks on the plow mount were just a couple of millimeters too narrow to fit onto the hooks (as shown from 4:12 in the video). The hooks were bent very slightly inwards, so I had to bend them just a very small amount (about 2 mm each) in order to be able to get the hooks into place onto the nods on the vehicle frame. Might be helpful to know if any other face the same difficulty when installing the plow :)

Plow shoes are installed wrong in the video. Cotter pin goes through the side holes to lock the shoes at the heigth set to. Best plus design out there in my opinion though. Been using mine for years

It would be cool if Polaris actually did a plowing video showing tips and tricks, just before winter I bought a 2007 Polaris Sportsman X2 that came with a factory 60inch plow and it was quite obvious that the previous owner had no plowing experience. After I adjusted the shoes and springs properly I quickly got the hang of using it and my little 500 can handle a surprising amount of snow.

Not without some modifications. I had a 2000 sportsman 500 and the polaris plow system that was made for was awesome. I modified a glacier 2 plow to fit my 2014 sportsman 570 9 years ago. Last winter I hit a chunk of ice and a piece of steel split and twisted the plow frame. Now I am trying to install a glacier 3 (which I think you could make fit your wheeler). The newer sportsman 570 plow mount seems to be part of the frame. For my 2014 it has a separate mount which is why I think it could be modified for your machine.

Why a short and long pin? What is the long pin for? Left side always short on the right as toy face the front of the unit . . . What’s the difference?

On this frame there is a sticker that states the red handle is in the upper position to lock the frame on. The instruction in this video is backward. Just saying!
