I was looking forever for a good walkthrough. Thanks.

Stay tuned. I am doing a complete re-rig of the boat, both electronics and hydraulics. Might be some good info when ordering a Stabicraft to make sure the dealer is doing what you want them to do in terms of rigging (battery locations, AP pump locations, battery switch locations, etc, etc).

2:15 the reason the roofline has a downward angle is because while on step the bow points up. This allows for a more level cabin while running. You might want to check how level your radar is while running, as it might be pointing up too much.
@bsumoba Жыл бұрын
I've done this already and at running, the roof is still pointed down. The 4 degree wedge is perfect at cruising/running speeds. It may not sound like a lot, but the 4 degrees makes a huge difference.

Thanks again for the overview. May I ask which dealer did you pick this up from? Haul it back from Oregon yourself if that was the dealer?

Clemens Marina in Oregon. I hired a driver to bring it from Oregon to CA. Delivered right to my driveway.

Hey there awesome video Wanted to know what is the front deadrise angle?
@bsumoba Жыл бұрын
Deadrise is about 49 degrees from my best measurement.

Never seen such small trim tabs.
@bsumoba Жыл бұрын
Yes, very small tabs for the size of boat. When I have an imbalanced boat because of people off to one side for example, it normally takes me about 1/2-2/3 adjustment to get the boat to react and balance out.

What is the internal beam of the wheelhouse and is it adequate.
@bsumoba2 жыл бұрын
Size of the internal beam is adequate for being a fishing boat. If you want more ammenities, a 2500XL is probably your best bet.

Great review of the Stabi 2250! Just outta curiosity, do you know if its hull has as variable deadrise (deadrise at the front of the hull and at the transom)?
@bsumoba2 жыл бұрын
There is a bit of variable deadrise. If I'm not mistaken, the deadrise is 17 degrees at the stern.
@VJBILL12 жыл бұрын
@@bsumoba Hmm, that's interesting. My Weldcraft 22 Maverick has a greater deadrise at the bow entry and forward than the stern so I'd thought your Stabi would be similar. Do you know what your forward deadrise is?
@bsumoba2 жыл бұрын
@@VJBILL1 I was mistaken. It is 17 at the stern. I am not sure what it is at bow entry and forward deadrise, but it is variable and has a larger angle deadrise at the bow.
@bsumoba2 жыл бұрын
@@VJBILL1 I measured the deadrise. It is about 45 degrees at bow entry, 22 degrees forward and 17 at the stern.
@VJBILL12 жыл бұрын
@@bsumoba yeah that seems about right for a variable deadrise. What's your fuel economy at cruise btw?

What engine in the ford and how does the f150 pull it
@bsumoba2 жыл бұрын
2.7 Ecoboost - pulls the boat just fine, but I wouldn't go any bigger for a boat with this truck. Engine has a rated 9K tow rating and I estimate the boat and trailer to be about 7K, so I am right at the "80%" rule of the thumb for actual tow weight to tow rating ratio

Whats the price on this build?
@bsumoba2 жыл бұрын
Boat, motors and trailer is just under $100K USD, not including taxes. Electronics and accessories totaled close to $30K USD. That being said, Stabicraft (and nearly every boat manufacturer) has increased prices to deal with covid, inflation and global shortages of raw materials.

Why you so bothered by not being a self draining deck, and want so many bilge pumps. Stabi,'s have reserve bouyancy so you can swamp the boat and still floats!
@bsumoba2 жыл бұрын
I understand, but I still don't want to be wading in water. I heard that the bilge pump that comes on Stabis are not the greatest in terms of longevity.

It’s very nice boat but to have to make the modifications to have to clean it up something the manufacturer should of done. Those boats are not cheap. This video is very helpful than you.
