2021 Subaru Legacy Touring XT Tutorial Buttons and Controls
In this video I show you how to operate the 2021 Subaru Legacy Touring XT and I show you how the buttons and controls work on the Legacy. The Subary Legacy Touring XT has a 2.4 liter turbo engine with 260 horse power. This car also features the power foldable mirrors that can be controlled with a button on the inside of the car. The front facing camera in the Subaru Legacy makes it easy to get out of parking spaces where you normally wouldn't be able to see around the corner.
The touch screen display in the 2021 Subaru Legacy is large but very easy to use once you know the basic buttons and controls. I'll share details on this in the video so you can feel confident when navigating to the Legacy features you want with confidence.

Are the map lights and dome lights the same? I drained my battery because I left the passenger right map light on and I didn't know I had. Subaru, of course, fixed everything with great customer service. But I don't want to do that again--lol.

I wonder how well those side mirrors move in cold weather? What happens if they're frozen in the closed position and you attempt to open them?

Alex , just got the 2021 Legacy Limited. I noticed if I go on to KZbin to listen to music it will not play over the monitor display. Am I doing something wrong how can I listen to the KZbin music coming out of the display I have the USB cable plugged into my phone and the system and that way it works for the Google driving directions but not for my music on KZbin I had a car 10 years old that I was able to do the phone and KZbin music coming out of my radio after connected with no wires or nothing

I’m leasing a 2021 legacy and while I think the center console looks very sexy-I find that it’s very difficult to make changes or using the touch panel while driving. Are you able to control it from the steering wheel? I leased it during covid, so I didn’t get the in-depth features and tutorial

Hey Jason, some of the features can be controlled through the steering wheel. For example, the radio volume and channel controls are on the left side of the steering wheel. Climate control and the bulk of the features are controlled through the touch screen. I'm not a huge fan of using the big display either but unfortunately i think it's here to stay.

Thanks! That's correct, the surround view isn't available on this model. However, our 23' Ascent and Solterra are getting this feature so maybe Subaru will look to add it to other models down the line.

Hey Fred, you should get two key fobs with a new Subaru Legacy Limited. Are you trying to purchase a 3rd? $350 sounds about right. That’s around what we charge for parts and labor to program.

@@fredrabinowitz alternatively, you could use your phone to start your car. It’s through an app called My Subaru. Ultimately, you would still need a key near by when you go to drive away. When you pick up your car, ask your salesperson about it. It’s a subscription that you can get anywhere from 3-7 years. $75 for 3 years or up to $375 for 7 years. You’ll also be able to control your climate control directly from your phone.

Can you get the upgraded stereo system on sport models of the crosstrek or forester?

Yes, on the forester you can get the upgraded Harmon Kardon system (this comes on the sport package 24). The Harmon kardon for the Crosstrek only comes on the limited package 33. However, you can get the Rockford Fosgate audio on the Crosstrek sport as an upgraded accessory

The front of the 23' Legacy has a new design and the Sport trim now comes with a standard 2.4 turbo engine (previously 2.5 non-turbo). The Legacy is also getting a new wheel design.

How to set the clock backward or forward for daytime savings? I went to Clock Setting for my 2020 OB, set my time zone to Eastern, and select Auto Update, it did not update, I ended up did it thru manual. What did I miss? My car

yep, actually the limited and the touring both come with the reverse auto tilt mirrors. I believe it's only the passenger side mirror though.

Since the Legacy Station Wagon (also known as Outback) came out the sedan version became almost forgotten speaking of sales so if you find the right dealership you can negotiate a very good price and APR.
