We just got back from driving the Mach-E and it is hilarious how HEAVY it feels while driving it, and how small the interior is. WAY less practical and fun to drive than the Model Y. Super quiet though.

Please do the V3 supercharging with 10% SOC at some point.

What speed does the SR-Y get on the supercharger?
@DailyMotor3 жыл бұрын
Max 175 kW on a V3 supercharger, I believe. We got 150 kW on a V2 supercharger, but that was only when our battery was empty. It started slowing right away.

@@DailyMotor how long did it take to get up to 69%? I want one but the rate charge concerns me for trips.

Sorry I didn't make it, I was out working on the truck and snow blowing with my friend. You know what's funny? I drove a golf cart one time at camp, wasn't supposed to, and I crashhed it into a curb. I was scared to death when I crashed it, I was going full speed too! The counciler let me drive it, and I was 16! And you do know I'm blind, Right? Lol, so that makes it even funnier! After everybody saw me freaking the hell out, everybody just stood there laughing at me! I'm like, what the damn hell is so funny! The counciler's superviser said, you're freaking the fuck out and you didn't even damage anything! I'm like, holy shit! I crashed going full speed on the 15 year old golf cart, and I didn't break it? Damn! They still laugh about it to this day!

I also have a 2021 Model Y and have complained to them why I now only had a month worth of Premium Connectivity when they first said 1 year when I bought the car. But they said they probably won't do anything about it because it's up to corporate Tesla. I also feel a little bit of thievery going on there. You should twitter Elon and see what he does. I would but I don't use Twitter. :)

Interestingly, I messaged support last week and they said that email was a mistake, and if my service goes out this month to contact them. Who knows what's really going on, but we'll find out soon!

@@DailyMotor My problem is that they never even gave me the 1 year subscription. It always stated that I lose my subscription on 3/13/21. I've been complaining that when I purchased the car in January it says 1 year... then when I received the car in February, it's only 1 month. I'm still going to make a big stink in 10 days if they take it away. False advertisement in my book.

@@FrogsterTi Ooooo, yeah that's different then. I hope you have success! If you don't, maybe we'll make a video about it and add some publicity to it. It's such a minor cost for Tesla to make their owners happy and feel like they got what they paid for.

@@DailyMotor Hey I have a question on your MY SR... when you're on your trips how low do you allow the battery to go down to before you recharge at a supercharger? What I mean is should I skip a closer supercharger and risk arriving at the next supercharger say at around 5% or maybe lower? I hear that it charges faster when it's below 50%. Does going that low hurt the battery? I'm going to do a road trip soon but want to plan out the trip with that app ABetterTripPlanner.
@DailyMotor3 жыл бұрын
@@tonynguyen830 Ideally you should aim to get to the next supercharger between 10-25%, which is a tight window in the SR MY. We've rolled into a Supercharger as low as 0%, and I wouldn't recommend it, both for for sanity and for the health of your battery. But it sure did charge quickly for the first 20%! If you're going to own the car for less than 60k miles, I wouldn't worry too much about harming the battery, but keep in mind if you encounter a head wind or heaven forbid something prevents you from using the supercharger, it's good to have some reserve. So aiming to arrive with at least 10% is smart, even if it is frustrating that you might not be able to stretch as far.
