As someone who officially owns a 2021 Camry XSE, it's a great car. Especially if you can get the XSE V6 version because the performance makes this car so fun to drive. I recently added a Borla S-Type cat-back exhaust system and OMG, it really brings out the V6 sportiness of this car. Oh and by the way, the quad tip should be single tip because the outer tip on both sides of the exhaust system is fake. Go up to next time in person and look at the outer tips. They are literally welded on to the other tip with no openings. It's purely non functional and for looks only. I was quite disappointed when I found out which led me to the entire exhaust change out. And for the better because I'm getting a lot of compliments saying my cars sounds like a Lotus, or a GT-R even. Not bad right? But anyways...... Honda Accords are excellent cars too but they took a different approach. They did away with their V6 option and opted for a turbo charged inline 4cy motor. Very responsive by the way, but I chose the Camry for its legendary reputation status. I mean, Camry holds the record for best selling mid size sedan for a reason right? Plus, the Camry looks so damn aggressive and sexy!!! I like the rework and the mild alteration for the 2021 version. The Accord has a classic and conservative type look to them. Mercedes like, but that's not me. Again, it comes down to personal preference as far as looks goes. I mainly got it because it was affordable for the performance you're getting. I mean 301 HP and 267 ft-lb of torque??? What moderately priced car today even has that!?!?

When I was car shopping I had the accord touring 2.0 on the list. But the 3.5L v6 in the Camry was just that amazing and so smooth. Oh and the Camry looks great especially in silver black roof w red interior. I own the 2020 version which I’m glad I do. I feel the 2021 Camry they ruined it. The Camry is the best mid sized sedan to get right now and the lineups for the 2021 models do not disappoint since Toyota offers so many different configurations to choose from. From 4cyl to 6cyl to AWD to TRD to Hybrid to luxury to etc and etc and etc, it’s tough to make a decision. I personally don’t like 4cyl cars but if you must get one, get the AWD or the hybrid version. Otherwise, go V6 all the way which is what I eventually did. Car enthusiast will most likely go for the TRD version if available. They’re limited and hard to come by so most opt for the XSE V6 model. The TRD version doesn’t have all the luxury features but has a beefed up suspension and exhaust. THAT IS IT. But for $32k, it’s worth it to some people. XSE models comes with sport tuned suspension regardless of engine size but their suspension don’t match the TRD’s upgraded suspension. They’re different and much better. Overall driving impression is pretty much spot in the video review. The car plants firmly, smooth steering, very smooth steering, and responsive. I have the XSE V6 version and it’s firm with reduced lean at higher speeds. If you don’t think about it, you’d swear you’re in a smaller compact car like a Civic or Corolla because it handles so well. To make it easier on which car to buy, it comes down to two things: gas saving and performance. Either you’re going to opt for the hybrid XSE 4cyl or the XSE V6 model. Everything in between you can live without. That’s basically it. Then it’s what you can afford lol.

Sadly, AWD isn't available on V6 models. It's the same pattern with Nissan and KIA maintain in their "performance" versions of the Altima and the K5. The reason? It's simple, the "take rate" for mainstream midsize versions of "performance" sedans is simply too low to make it worthwhile to offer it. Only about 5% of all Camrys sold in the US come with the V6 engine. The same pattern holds for other brands and since neither the Altima nor the K5 approach the total sales volume of the Camry offering AWD in the "high" performance models makes even less sense. I've not seriously considered a Camry despite the fact that the current generation introduced in 2018 is a significant improvement over prior generations in terms of handling. However when I recently had a vehicle in for service I rented a hybrid Camry for a day and was impressed. Smooth, relatively peppy, and very comfortable. I can understand why non-enthusiasts would find it a fine daily driver.

@@DoctorSkillz At the expense of driving a fairly soulless appliance. At least this generation doesn't look as dumpy and unattractive as they have in the past, but I still never understood people who lease or buy brand new Camry's because they're "reliable", unless they intend to keep it for 10+ years for that reliability advantage to come into play, which many people don't.

@@Stressless2023 People are holding onto their cars longer and longer, we'll beyond the common warranty period. Moreover, time is money. Have you had to take your car in for service? I can guarantee the entire experience is needlessly time consuming.
@Stressless20233 жыл бұрын
@@DoctorSkillz I definitely agree that plenty of people buy their vehicles new and keep them well beyond the warranty period (I've owned my 2006 Acura TL for 13 years, bought it 2 years old certified used, still love it even after 1 transmission rebuild and some glitchy interior electronics)... But I also know that many consumers lease, and many more also don't keep their vehicle for 10+ years, and that in my opinion voids the main perceived benefit of buying a new Camry. I'm aware that plenty of consumers may enjoy the Camry for their own specific reasons, but I also see alot of consumers who buy them new solely based on a perceived reliability advantage, and I find it strange to buy an appliance-like Camry brand new with no intention of keeping it until that perceived reliability advantage can prove itself.
