This gives me flashbacks to when I had my 2018 impreza. I can't stand the fake shifts, the mysterious whining, the erratic low speed jerkiness of these late model CVTs. Toyota's power split device (eCVT) is perfect ... so smooth, refined, no drama ... I will glady pay the premium for the manual on this model - or better yet find another car without a horrible cvt. (Like the corolla hybrid) CVTs have so much potential ... it aggravates me how manufacturers engineer their CVTs to work in ways that are so polar opposite to their nature.

I had a Corolla rental car for a week and it was easy to drive and park and pretty comfortable. Add to that it gets amazing MPG's and I can understand why people buy this vehicle. It's noteworthy that Toyota and Hyundai offer a lot of safety options (forward collision, blind spot, rear traffic alert, etc.) on their base models.

It's comfortable, fun, reliable, and one of the few cars that I can still get in manual.. whatever, it's a carolla. I didn't buy it to race.

This Apex looks and sounds like a Hoover. I drove a regular 2020 Corolla LE a couple days long distance. It was nice for what it was, but as the owner of a 2018 Elantra SEL, I was not impressed. Mushy ride. Inferior interior quality and design. Sliding behind the wheel again of my Elantra felt like a nice upgrade.

I could tell as soon as he pulled out from the parking lot that the suspension was lower, and the steering was tighter. This gen Corolla is loud, Ive ridden in one. I still love the aesthetic and you cant really hear the tire noise over music.

Dear Toyota: Analog speedometers are stupid. Everyone has known that a big analog tachometer with a digital speedometer is the way to go since the mid 2000s. Knock it off. Also, this car is a fun concept, but it costs more than a Civic Si which is hilarious. This is not better than an Si.
