@@halloballoyt7904 Exactly! and not the most efficient way to get the best economy out of it. I have the 2.0 GR Sport now and have been driving it for about 3 weeks. It replaces a 2.2l turbo diesel SUV that wasn't hybrid or anything fancy. The Corolla delvers just 5 MPG extra to the gallon but is a much smaller car and lower to the ground. Had they put a 2 litre turbo diesel engine in there instead of the hybrid drive train the car would have been cheaper to buy, less expensive to maintain, have greater range, have more luggage space, not have to have that variable drive gearbox and do more MPG. 10 years down the track the hybrid cars will undoubtedly need new batteries and when that day comes the car will be scrapped as the cost of the batteries will far exceed the value of the car. The diesel however would still be going strong so when you weigh it all up these vehicles will not be saving the planet, they're making things worse. So a nice car but utterly pointless.

The efficiency of the Toyota Hybrid System is very good but only at low/medium cruising speed. Over 120-130 Km/h you can't take advantages from THS. All the Toyota Hybrid cars are not designed for high speed for several reasons. The Toyota Hybrid System is a cutting edge technology but you have to use it in the right way. These are not sports car and they shouldn't be driven like it.

Так говорят те, кто не ездил на гибридах от тойоты или хонды. Они едут хорошо за счёт помощи от Эл мотора. Например, обычный приус 30 с мотором 1.8 обгоняет обычные атмосферные авто с мотором 2.0 литра.

If you don't mind the brakes suddenly being slammed on by the adaptive cruise control because its mixed up kpm and mph.
@vamoskerala47622 жыл бұрын
You need to pay more for such cars. At this price this car is really good. It’s not possible to keep on driving at 170 above because of trucks and traffic. People mostly use this speed to over take and move to right to a safe economical speed.

@@TheSpoovy Where do you live? By the border of Canada?
@TheSpoovy2 жыл бұрын
@@pappiricki No, England. There have been numerous cases of golfs made for the UK market getting confused and suddenly slamming on the brakes on the motorway, taking you from 70 mph to 70 kph (about 43 mph). Needless to say this is very dangerous, particularly on crowded motorways which most of ours are. Also reports of it (adaptive cruise control) not allowing you to overtake on the right because it thinks you're undertaking. I wouldn't drive a golf if you gave me one free.
