This 2021 Hilux V Conquest actually looks more like a Lion than any other "titan" anyone would think. Plus, the Emotional Red Hilux V Conquest 4x4 A/T looks more like a San Beda Red Lion! Now don't get me wrong if I sound like I'm promoting the name of my former school. But because I'm a proud alumnus of my alma matter, it's just what it is. And so the Hilux Conquest V in Emotional Red reminds me more of it being the official sports truck of the San Beda Red Lions. Now why do I say that? Well because the Conquest Sticker says it all. To tell everyone that this lion right here is not an ordinary Hilux pickup truck... It's Conquest! Just like a Lion as king of the Jungle, the Hilux Conquest is King of the off-roader pick-up trucks in its category! While its natural environment would be in an offroad jungle, if I can see this lion in emotional red color in its official environment inside the campus of San Beda University Manila (or the lions den), it would definitely be perfect. Especially if they have one of these lions in emotional red color as their company vehicles. #GoSanBedaFight!

I'm still waiting for when the Toyota Hilux will scrap their hood prop rod, and use relatively inexpensive gas struts, which on this top line variant should be a standard inclusion. In point of fact, get shot of all hood prop rods on every make of vehicle. Even back in the 1950's, we had spring loaded hinges that lasted the life of the vehicle. With lighter weight hoods, surely a return to spring loaded hinges shouldn't be a problem. But, then again, a prop rod is cheaper to manufacture...

Finally a back up camera but still no leather seats and I'm guessing no power seats as well. The worst part and this goes for every pick up available in the Philippines is a 4 cylinder painfully slow and underpowered diesel engine .

Its not anymore underpowered since the new 2.8 engine now produces 201hp (204PS) and 500Nm compared to the old 2.8 engine which produced 174hp (177PS) and 450Nm on the previous model.

@@realVicTorres02I dissagree . This is the truck that should be available in the Philippines with the optional v6 . I personally hate the 2. 4 cylinder diesel engines . Got one in my 2019 raptor and 2018 Navara. I need the vehicles but unfortunately can't wait for the day someone bring in a v 6 option that's not a diesel . The F150 is tempting but it's too big for the roads kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6XOapiFn6lgncU Not to mention that the trim levels options on pretty much all vehicles in the Philippines is not on par with the same vehicles sold in other countries . Navigation systems along with touch screens ,power seats which have been a standard fair on vehicles abroad are now just trickling in to the Philippines. Perfect example the backup camera and leather seats on a hilux conquest . That's just now part of the package . About a year and a half ago when I looked at a conquest leather seats and back up camera were not even a option to order . Less options smaller engines but the price is the same as in Thailand ,Australia ,Vietnam yet they have a lot more choices . Lets see when the 2021 Nissan Navara arrives here because it's already on sale around the globe and lets see if the 4pro version becomes available here as well.

you may want to consider the upcoming all new dmax and all new mazda bt 50.. so you can weigh all your options.. this conquest looks very cool because of the stickers, mods and etc but please do test drive it and compare it to others.. if they did not improve the suspension on this, then it is quite a disappointment.. unless you will use it to haul things to justify the TAGTAG issue..

Sir I second this motion, Toyota is all known for its durability & re-sale value, but it does lack or lag in discounts so the best alternative would be to look at the lower variant especially if one craves for a 4x4.
