Good work, nice improvement. Please could you guys look at like a toilet system on the kayak. Maybe a hole in seat with pipe to ventury, that one can plag with a bung. I pee a lot when I'm out on the water. And so do most of the guy's I paddle with, the Aged lol There is no way of getting it out the seat area. Or even trying using a bottle. You will have a winner on this one. Thanks

They should introduce a seat drainage hole like the fusion

Good improvement! Please evaluate to shift the transducer next to the rudder blade. Position selected in your prototype is the most affected by damages during reentering and is needing fiberglass continuity.

Perhaps I'll have to find a way to do something like this on my new Duo, when it arrives.

Any recommendations for a fish finder and transducer that works well… or a few favorite models?

So what is on my Profisha 475 which I bought a few weeks ago and should be up here(NQ) in a couple of weeks . I'm not sure of where or how the recess is on the 475.

I recently retrofitted a new Garmin GT20 transducer into my Fish 460 by cutting a hole in the hull and mounting the tranny into a small custom-built fibreglass box glassed into the hull from above after the floor was re-glassed for strength (I needed to fit a new 4" screw-hatch above the area to make it possible.). The tranny sits just above the hull line with a direct view to the ocean floor. I don't know why in your design you fitted a cover plate to shoot through which wouldn't give a 100% perfect echo return? I believe my design is much better than yours but you do need to fit that new access hatch in the rear to make it possible. Plus, all that excess cable that you stuck under the cover for some reason can be easily tied off beneath the new access hatch.

Thanks for the detailed feedback, we will consider this for future designs!

Hey Brett- are the livewells now standard on all kayaks? Is it possible to get them without the livewell? I'm personally not a fan of how much it reduces the space inside the hatch. Also, I'm currently using the Simrad/Lowrance Active Imaging transducer, similar to the old Structurescan/Sidescan 2 in 1 transducer as are few other guys here. The length looks about right, but at 3cm high it's too shallow and if you're having to mess about with the cover, it might as well not be there. Personally, I'd like to see a recess that fits the Simrad Active Imaging 3 in 1 transducer, or the Raymarine Axiom+ 3D transducer, and the inside tube running up and along the side of the hatch, with no livewell.

The livewells are std across the range now.As far as a transducer recess goes we unfortunately cannot cater for every single transducer on the market and have done what we could with what makes the most sense.

@@Stealthkayakfishing cheers for the quick reply. I guess I understand maybe that's the way you guys fish over there. For me it's quite disappointing to hear about the livewell being standard. I use that space all the time for other things and was thinking I'd love to still have it when I get another yak. Wish it were optional as the livewell being there is a dealbreaker. Just personal feedback- I'm sure as much as I hate it, there's someone it there that loves it.

@@fishkeen2476 a live well can be "removed " on special request in constructiion but this does effect things like the new transducer recess which is part of the mould so if one does not mind the internal work without the box to cover it then a once off custom could be done.(extra charges on custom work)

Also live bait well can be used as extra storage if you keep the plugs in. So not loosing space. Just have easier access to whatever you are storing in the live bait hatch.
