Best video made so far on KZbin comparing the two exhausts I’ve been looking in to for my 2020 Tuono V4 Misano. I’m new to Aprilia. Is it required to buy a Race ECU when upgrading the exhaust? Or is there just an open flash option from the dealership that’s cheaper? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Thank you! From 2017 to 2020, a race ECU or race map flash (same map just different method_ is required when changing the exhaust including just a slip on. If your Tuono is still under Factory Warranty, I recommend you get an official Aprilia Race ECU. Where are you located?

Nice update and mods. On the verge of updating from my current 2017 to the '21. I really like this bike! I think this is the first gen since the change to the TFT screen to make it worthwhile.

Nice. The akra silencer is longer than the other brands so it gives it a bit quieter sound. Good for those who don't want to upset neighbors all the time.

Sc a little louder and deeper than the akra. Just the video I wanted. I had the akra on my 2020 and I will have the SC on my next bike. That can will hit the sweet spot between akra and the more louder shorter cans and it will suit the akra map better for performance due to the lenght off the pipe.

Thanks! I can't think of any exhaust that doen't allow for stock passenger pegs except maybe the SC1R full race exhaust.

Your local dealer is able to do it. I can ship you the ECU for them to install.

Good video. Your Tuono has a clear screen where as our (UK) get tinted (black) screens, is this an option or standard fitment ?

@@Victor_Moto Akra' and re-map at the main Aprilia dealer, (Cost $1580 in US dollars, 1150 in UK pounds) Changes throttle response so much, and you get 'Race' on the dash (like you said).

Nothing. It's controlled by the ECU. No wiring.

I'm hoping more aftermarket parts come out in time for the 2022 MY, so i can trade in my 2020 TV4. Personally i dislike the rear cowl, underseat panels and the large exhausts. Can i ask you question aswell, when do you think we can expect MY 22 at dealers? Is it fair to assume some time around may perhaps?

The Tuono is perfect. The Akrapovic exhaust beats the SC PROJECT exhaust in my opinion. Completely torn between the RS660 and the Tuono 660. Aprilia is knocking it outta the park with their bikes.

The Aprilia Takeover is real. The SC is a little louder but the Akrapovic sounds more refined I think. Less "slappy".

It was $699. But since this video, we recommend the Gabro maps via UpMap if you're going to do that.

@@stephencarbajal5657 I like UpMap because of the versatility and Gabro's maps are great. Yes, these maps put the signals in the headlight and don't require changing the ECU.

A con is that flashing or chaning your ECU could void factory warranty coverage.
