Hey I’m glad to see you’re making videos again. So I’m in the process of overlaying my concrete pool deck with pavers and also extending the area. Do you think I will always have issues where the pavers transition from on top of the concrete onto my open graded base? I’m using a three piece slab so some of the pavers are laying across the edge of the concrete. I’ve already had a them shift up and down a little bit due to frost heaving and it shows right along the line of the concrete. Im hoping to wait for everything to thaw and then adjust them right before I put the polysand down. I’m in NH. Any information on this would help. I appreciate it. Dan

Hey Dan. As long as your base material was compacted properly and the native soil beneath both areas is compacted properly, I wouldn't think you would have many issues once the polysand is installed. At the moment so much water is being allowed underneath the pavers. Once the surface is closed off most of your water will run off.

Hey Josh, It's been awhile but we talked in the past about the weber compactor and ended up going with your recommendation back in 2017 and glad I did. Was curious, I just watched the Samuel project and you mention a screed system for laying wall block???? I never want to pound every base course block again. Could you share some info on this or email if easier?? And loving the idea of using 3/8 chip stone instead of sand for paver bedding..is techo and other OK with this for warranty ? Any help appreciated!! Steven

Hey Steven. That is great to hear! The tool we use you are referring to is the Wall Screed from Pavetool. It is one of my favorite tools!
