My buddy test drove an Atlas V6. It was a smooth and comfortable ride. I've been hearing a lot of bad things about the Atlas though in terms of reliability.
@marckruse21814 жыл бұрын
Dennis Xu, we purchased an Atlas SE with the Tech package two years ago. After 29k miles and a couple of road trips we are still very happy with it. It is not the fastest and the gas mileage could be better but it is very safe, has lots of space for three kids and is very practical. It was also reasonably priced and the only new vehicle I found with a 6 year real bumper to bumper warranty.

What's the more reliable engine for the longevity of the Atlas, the V6 or 2.0t? And which is cheaper to maintain?
@josephgries46834 жыл бұрын

So I drove a lot of three-row SUVs (settled on a Palisade which I picked up last month) and the Atlas wasn't too bad but man, it sure felt like a dog. None of the non-luxury/performance SUVs with ~250-300 hp are fast but the Atlas in particular felt like you had to floor it just to get it moving. It either needs revised throttle mapping/gearing or another 50 hp.

I rented a 2020 in San Francisco. I liked the luxury and driver assistance. Very nice ride and quiet. Smaller turning radius than my 2014 Toyota Highlander. 3rd row has a lot of leg room. CONS: - seat is too long for my 5'2" wife - lack of power for passing another car quickly. Power is adequate. My 2014 Toyota Highlander can run circles around the Atlas. - Very wide so it's hard to fit into a narrow parking space. I'm disappointed that the 2021 didn't come with plugin hybrid for more power and the concept car's dashboard (similar to Land Rover Range Rover).
@marckruse21814 жыл бұрын

To redline: I like your channel but please don’t recommend VW atlas to anyone in the states, I was a previous owner of 2019 VW atlas premium, 1st engine lights came out 1 month after purchasing this car, 2nd engine lights came out around 10 months after driving this car due to 1 pcs of oxygen sensor broken and 3rd engine lights came out just 1 week after 2nd time due to 2pcs of oxygen sensor were broken within 1 year and just 9K miles.This is a good-looking car with a ton of room, but but but very very poor reliability, VW should improve their quality control and do a supplier risk assessment to make sure most of customer can have their car in good condition. I just guess the ratio of lucky guy maybe lower than 50%. It seems engine lights on and oxygen sensor broken happens on almost every VW car
