@@MrAjay3234 There's plenty of space in the thirs row. For 6ft tall, just got to move the 2nd row slightly forward which has more than required legroom and you're good. Look out for 2019 models, VW offer great incentives these days since the 2021 is coming out shortly.

I love the looks of the Atlas and Tiguan! My daughter bought a Tiguan, it. Is nice. Drives great, at 6’2”, I even have plenty of room in back seat. Solid feel. I’d get the Atlas though.

Not really. Even Audi Q7 can be optioned with a 2.0t engine. You should go to Europe and see cars and suvs with 1.4 1.6t engines for emissions.

I had a 2019 Atlas SE 3.6 for about a week, took it on a long road trip also, it has great space and comfort, the 3.6 was adequate for it but I had a hard time keeping up with my friend's Q7 TDI. I did miss my 2019 AllTrack during that week and couldn't wait to get back in as my daily.

reliability issues are the main reason we didn't look at the Atlas closer when we bought our Palisade. I like the looks and size of the Atlas but the thought of living with it past the warranty period and hearing some owners already shopping for another vehicle due to constant issues with theirs squashed further interest.

I have a 2018 and it is a POS. In the shop for the 3rd time already this year for the same issue due to a recall. Hope the later models are better but you are better off with the Palisade. How is that it?

@@jennifercollins2658 it's a very comfortable vehicle. have driven it on a few 5hr road trips to see family now and it makes the drive feel easy. We averaged 25-26mpg with the stock tires, and are now at 21-22mpg with a tire more suited for winter driving.

We skipped on this vehicle because we couldn’t get cooled seats and roof mounted rear hvac vents. Those are a must in FL. Did they add these for this new gen?

Andrew Gaffka Uh they have cooled seats on the SEL Premium on the pre-refresh model as well. Idk about rooof mounted rear HVAC vents but they probably have then integrated in a different spot like the rear of the 1st row center console for the 2nd row passengers & shld be integrated in the pillars for the 3rd row as well

Wait! What about the 2020. There not out yet....I'm still waiting to get mine! I choose the top of the line without the sun roof. I could see the sun spot through the soft flimsy slide shade and feel the heat coming right through the glass roof. Would be too hot for me in the south west summers. Plus don't like the new pushed out front grill and headlights either of this 2021.

VW has milked that 3.6 for way too long. The 4cyl gets 258ft lbs, they need a V6 that gets 300hp/300 ft lbs for the big Atlas to feel like it's worth it.

if you look at the actual specs of vehicles though it's a lot of wasted space though. its basically the cabin height being a bit taller then competitors. if you look at the seat measurements the Palisade/Telluride are about the same or offer more room.

@Naughtysauce 2013 Subaru Outback that burnt oil since new and they wouldn't fix it till they lost a class action lawsuit for the issue. Wife's Honda has had the infotainment unit crash several times and always needs to go to the dealer and my Nissan Rogue work vehicle is a complete POS. Transmission, electrical issues and poor build quality. So the Japanese build crap too. Glad you're happy with your Toyota, but I am equally happy with my VW's and always will be.
