Interestingly we purchased both vehicles on back to back days. An Accord Touring Hybrid for my wife and a 2022 B5 R-Design S60 for me. Love them both and, from an engineering standpoint, the differences between the vehicles are slimmer than I think many would suspect. Enjoy your Accord. It's a brilliant piece of kit. Take care.

Dude, Volvo has announced years ago that 6 or 8 cylinders are a thing of the past for them. On the contrary, their petrol engines will be a thing of the past too in a few years from now. No point in asking for that any more... But then again, your channel is called "petrolhead" after all... ;)

But many other premium automakers are still selling a 6 cylinder in their top models so AP is mentioning that in his review. If Volvo is trying to compete with them, they may need extra cylinders. I would be interested if Volvo released a cheaper S60 model with their 1.5L 3 cylinder Turbo (they had been working for years on it) with a mild hybrid. The combo should be good for 160-180hp and hopefully better fuel economy.

Who owns Volvo now?....in the sixties a brand so robust and tough, the upper models had a galvanized floor panel and it was a car that lasts. I really liked the Volvo Sport hatchback and now these days we from Oz stick to Korean cars! Good product, huge service-net, and good value for money. My wife's head turns when she spots a burned orange Veloster zipping by.
