Although if you really think about it Knorp was kind of the unsung hero, scoring from second if he wasn't so fast he would have been out at the plate, and if he wasn't an agressive base runner he may have stopped at third knowing Kyle would have had to pitch to him as the bases would have been loaded

Dude how ironic is it that the Diamondbacks won their first world series with a walk off bloop single off the heel of the bat, just over the infield. Schema channeling his inner Luis Gonzalez. Wow. Probably the greatest series in MLW history. I think what makes this league great and puts it in its own conversation of wiffle ball leagues, is the heart that goes into it. Take Pearson for example, you can see how much he was hurt by the outcome and that’s definitely something to take note of, kid played hard but things just didn’t go in his favor. Kyle and Saylor are the two best hitters in the league IMO and this game just proves wiffleball is just as much of a defensive sport as it is offensive. Shoutout both teams for what is in my book the best series in the leagues history. Coughlin also deserves some recognition, dude called every one of those games like a pro and kept us all engaged throughout every AB. Cats will be back, but congrats to the Dbacks for getting their much deserved first WS ring and shoutout to the knorpchise for a legendary MVP season.

As a self-proclaimed MLW Analyst, here are my thoughts on Game 5; -Insane. The wild ending, honestly couldn't think of a better series in general. Amazing editing, amazing wiffleball, amazing project well done Kyle. -On Game 4, I commented and said that the deciding factor for Game 5 will be the captains. Whichever captain could out-hustle the other, would end up winning. Well, the Cats found a way around that in walking Knorp it felt like 75% of the time. And yeah, it worked. -It's fun to think about these teams without their managers and where they would be. Off that, it turned out that which TEAM played better won. Not the best captain. MLW is born off teamwork and working towards a goal, and the Dbacks did just that. -BUT, I do have something to say about what Jimmy Knorp said at the end of the video in their interview. Calling this 2021 Diamondbacks team the 'Best MLW Team in History' I think should not have been said. They have won one world series. If Jimmy rides this kind of high horse into the next season, it honestly might come around and bite him. Look out for the Magic, Gators, Wildcats, and yes, Diamondbacks.
@slimetime46683 жыл бұрын
You’re last bit is a miss analysis…he’s referring to the best team as in best team in a single season which is very just….the MLW is stronger than ever you can see this from old time teams getting crushed over recent years like the Cobras who haven’t looked good since the expansion, yet the diamondbacks had one of the most dominant years with competition being closer than ever

Need to do something about intentional walks imo. I understand you want to keep the rules as similar to baseball as possible, but it's just different in wiffleball with such a small lineup card. It may be strategic, but it also diminishes the quality of the product for the viewer. Knorp needs to be able to hit. Some quick ideas: - Limit 1 intentional walk per frame (there's almost no chance of double plays with the shortened basepaths, so this would guarantee 1 plate appearance for the hitter. What I would personally do.) - No intentional walks (The most extreme) - Intentional walk = 2 bags (Limits use cases) - No intentional walks if there's a runner on base (Limits use cases)
@TheJudgeIsLive3 жыл бұрын
With all that said - amazing series. Really enjoyed watching. Congratulations to the Diamondbacks.
@kirbybrennan14133 жыл бұрын
The intentional walk isn't something that can be legislated out. There's no way you can prevent someone from simply tossing 4 unhittable, way-outside pitches to a guy they want to walk. Literally the only difference between MLW and pro baseball in that regard is the MLB forces the catcher to actually step off the plate and not drop four balls, as opposed to the head nod (and no catcher to let through a passed ball). They don't show us the full at bat anyways, so there's really no need for anything but a decision and a hand gesture in MLW.

@@flyers1711 this may be true but I will say this...Nick Saylor has Jimmy’s number. the only guy consistently crushing Knorp’s pitches. Crazy good series!

I just discovered this league, and I am in love with the competitiveness and quality of it. As I watched each game I got quite excited about the Diamondbacks players. Without a doubt I have become a fan, I will not miss any season from now on❤️👍🏼

Congratulations to the Downtown Diamondbacks, and a well played series by the Western Wildcats. I really appreciate how everyone puts their 100% into every game of the season and playoffs. I’m really glad the MLW was started. I would have never been so interested and excited in wiffle ball if it weren’t for this league. Thank you to every team and a job well done by everyone involved. Can’t wait for next season!

Jackson will be a staple in this league. Keep your head up. One way to improve your game: steady that right foot at the plate. Wildcats ‘22!

this game had everything. jimmy destroying that guy in the tent's hand after the top of the third, whatever jimmy's locomotion technique at 11:19 is, nick saylor not knowing what to do with his hands after the bobble, and me legitimately worried for michael schema's safety as they celebrated. peak entertainment

what a game. what a series. what a season. this was an instant classic game and one of the best ever. Schema coming up with the walk-off is a testament to the insane talent depth of this league. watching Jimmy and Kyle probably the two faces of the league battle it out for the world series is legendary. i thought the wildcats were the better team but the d-backs came up big when they had to and pulled out two extra-inning wins. this was maybe the best season ever with all the competition. the league was so balanced it felt like everyone had a real chance of winning the title down the stretch of the season (except the Mallards lol). It definitely came down to the best two teams and we got the series we dreamed of. Gators 2022! Thank you Kyle for commissioning and producing another wonderful season of MLW, you brought me and the rest of the MLW community so many great moments.

By far the greatest series I've watched on this channel. The competition was off the charts. Hats off the Heath and Schema coming through in the end when the Wildcats wanted absolutely nothing to do with Knorp. Gutted for Pearson though. Everyone who has played sports has been there and it really is a punch right to the gut. He'll bounce back though. Thanks for an amazing season boys! Already looking forward to next season!

So this was my first full season as a viewer and just wow - what a surprise and what a season I was treated to. These kids are an absolute inspiration. The commentary by Kyle and Tommy was awesome all year, the production top-notch, and the wiffle ball play was unbelievable - ample evidence that this league and channel are in good hands. Pearson looked pretty shook up there at the end - he did not have a good game but he had a lot of heart which, at the end of the day, is what this league is all about. Hold your heads high, Wildcat players and fans - it was another unbelievable season for you - you didn't win it all but you should be proud nonetheless. But for now we get to celebrate another team who absolutely deserved the title and whose victory will likely bolster the league even more - the DIAMONDBACKS. GET KNORPED, y'all. 😁 But yeah, phenomenal season, boys. I'm going to miss these Friday vids - spring training can't start soon enough and I ain't talking about the MLB. I'm talking about the M. L. W. Thanks for a great season. 🙌

Amazing performance by both teams. Hats off to the D-Backs on a great season, and props to the wildcats for a hard fought series against arguably one of the greatest teams in MLW history. Keep your head up Pearson, keep your head up. You and your team fought hard and played lights out defensively to the last play of the game. I know it wasn’t the outcome you wanted, but like Kyle said, you’ll be back. A team with as much chemistry as the wildcats have will continue to see many World Series’ to come. Well played to you all

I never imagined I'd get this into MLW, but here we are. I've been casually watching since 2015 but never truly got into it until this season. Heartbroken to see the Cats lose, but I believe they'll be back next year.

Been a D-Backs fan since day 1, and today I’ve been rewarded for that loyalty. A WS win is only as good as your opponent, and the Wildcats had a stellar year, couldn’t ask for a better opponent or series. D-BACKS 2021 CHAMPS LETS GOOOOOOO

Watch every episode the day it came out. Watched them when I fought Covid and let me tell you, I spent more time watching this channel than watching my Pittsburgh Pirates lol. Keep up the great work on your end. You have a lot of viewers in our area. Be blessed and congrats to both teams for the series.

A quick appreciation post for Kyle.. man I was rooting for the Dbacks all year but couldn’t help but feel sad for seeing you and the boys going down again. But man you’re a champion this year and every year. The content you released every Friday gave me something to look forward to every single week after my shitty 9-5 job. You’re amazing man and I couldn’t be more grateful witnessing this league at its finest for the last 3 years. What an amazing year it was and I can’t wait for it all again next year. Thank YOU Kyle.
