So so close to home. Looked like a great ride today. Man what great friends. The care package looked pretty amazing to me. I love some sweets 🍫. Great camping 🏕 spots once again. Hope you found your glove 🧤. Wilson Wilson Wilson 😂 Billy D

I have really enjoyed the videos and can't wait to see what your next adventure will be. The end of your trip is going to be bittersweet since you accomplished what you set out to do and sort of sad because it is over and life returns to normal until you figure out what is next. I have looked forward to each video and will miss the updates. Just think of all the great memories you made along the way. You accomplished something most of us would never attempt. You deserve a nice long rest after the celebration. Take care and I can't wait to see the video of the celebration!... Johnny-NC

Thanks Johnny!! Bittersweet is right... coming off the highs of the trip will take some adjustments. I haven't planned What's Next, but I'm sure it will come to me. Running the entire Mississippi River comes to mind, but we will see. Thanks so much for watching and joining me on my adventure! And yes, I have some editing to do!

While digitally following the Missouri upstream to see what those paddlers had to deal with, I have to say I'm pretty impressed with their efforts. With several dams and no locks to Montana, they had quite a few portage events to deal with! Wowsers man!

Yes! The solo paddlers will sometimes have wheels for their vessel to portage... but still, that is a long haul with some BIG lakes.

I am still smiling, Mike... how about you? As I type this, you are likely getting underway for your FINAL leg of THIS trip - and what a *trip* it has been for you. 👍😊

Thanks Kitty! Met my Mom and Dad in Nebraska City as I wait for weather to pass. Then another 70 miles to the finish line!

I always think of the wonderful aloneness that the early explorers must have experienced, along with the not knowing and the anxiety that can bring.

Yes. All my electronics made my trip feel extremely comfortable... never felt like I was lost, or didn't know where I was going.

@@MichaelStraubSeaDooLooper YUP- I tried it once 20 years ago without anything. Just maps. OMG those islands on the maps are only 6" above the water line. On the maps they are sooo easy to see. On the water, HA! I can see how the explorers can get lost orcould completely bypass the mouth of the Mississippi and end up in Corpus Christi or Mexico!

I am going back to your last video to see where you had both gloves last.

I had them both the night before. I think the wind blew one into the water during the night.
