The pretty much unforced fumble by Ole Miss at the end of the first half was really the turning point here. Still, I think Ole Miss likely would have won if they had just kept running in the red zone or on that final drive. We Bama fans know Kiffin's tendency to get away from the run all too well. Jase McClellan was a bright spot in this one. Let's hope he continues to play at this level in 2023.

Cracked me up how the Ole Miss team/fans got so upset about the no call for PI on their 2nd drive. That play would’ve never happened if the refs didn’t give Ole Miss the most generous spot in football history at 2:03

The play at 16:53 clearly should have had a personal foul that would have extended the Ole Miss drive. Totally pointless and braindead act from Dallas Turner, and it would not have been the first penalty like that for him this season or even in this game. Turner will be one of the most experienced defensive players in 2023. He has to eliminate this kind of nonsense if he's going to be any kind of leader.

Turner and even Will Anderson seemed to try to force things to happen too much last season. They didn’t always play their game and stay patient. Anderson had a really tough game at Texas with like 3 penalties.

That offense was absolutely pathetic, all the drives ended up being Bryce Young having to make something out of nothing. Bill O'Brien's play calling was completely figured out by the SEC by Week 2. That's why the offense struggled against every single opponent. Zero rhythm.

It wasn’t for a championship, obviously, but Bama REALLY needed this victory. Saban looked very relieved.

Yeah, you really felt that if they did not get this one, the season might have come totally unglued.
