I made a mistake in the video saying this was a Fly cloud thanks @Happy Campers. for catching this. This model is the International 25RB!
@mb5ggX2SyFMM Жыл бұрын
There is an awning on the driver side. It's a manual pull out. The International and Globetrotter come standard with 3 awnings.

Is that an optical allusion at 16:12 in the video, it looks like you can see light from the outside between the wall and the cabinets

Nope, that was most likely the basement light that was on 👍🏾

JB can pull that Airstream with my 2013 Crewmax Toyota Tundra 4x4?
@Uncle_Fester242 жыл бұрын
I've always been told nothing goes down the highway like an Airstream the suspension not very much moves around. I would like one because ai personally do not want to deal with slides. Great video!
@JB_WhoWork2 жыл бұрын
Yea after looking under this one, it seems to have a robust suspension. I wonder how aerodynamic they are 🤔

@@JB_WhoWork you might find a video here on KZbin, otherwise one can be found on the Airstream website, of how well they follow their tow vehicle while driving on a track compared to typical box type trailers. Due to their aerodynamics and low center of gravity they tow exceptionally well and save about 30% of fuel due to less drag etc. Thanks for the review.

I love the look and style of Airstreams! I guess your outside storage is the tow vehicle since these are bumper pull. 🇺🇸💪

Airstreams are nicely done. They seem to maximize their space really well. I was wondering, are the awnings on both sides power awnings or do you have to put them out by hand? Appreciate the video JB.
@JB_WhoWork2 жыл бұрын
It really does use every inch well but I would struggle with exterior storage. I believe the awnings were both manual only because I didn’t see a button for either one, thanks bro 👍🏾

This was my first time every walking through one and I remember looking them up online years ago and seeing $150k for a 30ft and said no way that is worth that… I now understand though, this is a long term investment rig compared to RV’s you plan on keeping for 5 years and trading because it’s falling apart 👍🏾

Do you think I could strip the paint off my Ford and polish up the aluminum body panels to match this trailer? I would love the simplicity of no slides but not until the kids grow up.
@JB_WhoWork2 жыл бұрын
Dude that would be awesome although I think there is some elbow grease going into the final product. Yea I was looking at a couple of layouts and I don’t think I would get one with kids. Maybe once they are out of the house or we’re done fulltiming I would consider something like this. I don’t know if I could afford one 😅
@simplywanda10652 жыл бұрын
This is a 2022 model not 2023. You can tell cause it still has a DVD/Blu-ray player. They took those out starting 2023 and added more USB/HDMI ports.

Just from the comments, you can see that Airstream has no middle ground. Most either love them or hate them.

Yup, it’s a lot of money but I think these are long term rigs. I would be interested to know lifecycles rv manufactures build their RV’s on. I’m willing to bet some are less than 10 years 👀

I was in love with Airstream until I recently stayed in a 27FB Globetrotter, they are really nice but man, for the price those bathrooms are really, really tight. With they money you will spend on an Airstream I could buy 2 Grand Designs or one fifth wheel. I would definitely not buy an Airstream.
@27dmarshall2 жыл бұрын
I get that Airstream trailers are built to a MUCH better quality standard, BUT when compared to a comparable size Forest River or Grand Design trailer, the Airstreams are simply over-priced. Again, I get the quality... but you're paying too much. They are cramped vs. competition (no slides). The value just isn't there. I'd have to have my house paid for, kids through college, 401k well funded, brand new truck (paid for), etc. before I'd consider spending $120,000 on a travel trailer. I think Airstream tacks on an extra ~$45,000 after all costs because they know enough people will pay it.
@volkodavwolfcrusherlv71332 жыл бұрын
Not worth it. High end stuff you don't need when even glamping. $100k can get you so much more in the rv world, maybe not the quality but amenities and size. Anything that Size would be half that price on a high in to maybe even around $30k.
@JB_WhoWork2 жыл бұрын
Grand Designs TT at this size are closer to $40k but the Airstream is a long term investment but not for everyone 👍🏾
